It's perfectly fine for doing paint enhancements or a very light paint correction. Anything more serious and a more powerful polisher would be a much better fit. If I'm working on a new vehicle this is my go to tool but the major pitfall is battery life. From my lawn mowing days with Ryobi tools, I still have a collection of their high capacity batteries but if you're relying on the 2ah battery it comes with you'll probably be lucky to get done with a panel and it's time to recharge.
