Actually I did this a couple of months ago. This was only my second attempt at paint correction with a DA and this paint was in terrible shape. It still is not anywhere near perfect (and never will be) but I think it looks very nice. I was embarrassed and depressed driving it around before but now I am proud and feel very good with it. I learned a lot doing this and found out I have a lot more to learn. I could never have done this without all the people here at Auto Geek. THANKS TO EVERYONE for all your help!
Ok now some pics:

First I used too many products to try and list them so here is a picture of what I used:

Before the paint was dull and lifeless:

Here is why:

Not a bad job at all. You did nice work to your car, and now you can drive it proudly!

Love the reflection shot =D

Great Job!:props:
Its a nice feeling when you see the results and what a difference a little knowledge and the right products can make!
The folks here at AG are tops!

maxima dad

S2K looks good.... I loved doing PDI on the S2K at the dealership. The test drives was always fun....LOL Time will only improve your skills, mine is getting better on every paint correction I do, and I can always improve or refine on my skills..

I love those cars. You did a nice job. You say it may not be perfect, but who cares! You love it, you did it yourself, and you now have the bug. Keep it up! Great job.

Thanks everyone for you comments, feels even better when pros like you think I did pretty good.

MP - I said it will never be perfect because of all the rock chips and bug etchings from a previous owner, but yea I love it and that's what counts.

Mike - While doing this I just kept saying something to myself that I read that you wrote "taking your paint to it's maximum potential", that got me through it. It might not be to it's max but I think it's pretty close.

A.D.A.P. - I saw your thread and your G looks awesome! Those reflection shots look incredible. I think you photo skills are very good, I like the way you duplicated the before and after shots (wish I had done that). BTW I love the G way more than the 350/370.

As a BB S2K owner (now sold) I can understand you! Berlina Black is one of the softest paints in history, and they get beat up so bad, it is so sad. I think BB is the best color for the S2k. Drive her proud, man!!

BTW, my secret for this car is Menzerna 106FA on a black pad, use it as a clean up/maintenance polish now that you have all the RIDS out ;)
