Sad news....

So sorry to hear that bad news. my family and I send our thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of Matt Eddy.

I just don't understand why people don't check the chambers when handling or cleaning firearms.

i agree . check the whole gun out before even trying to start cleaning.
 
Well, after it hit me this morning, I went over to his parents house. Lots of family and friends there and it is hitting everyone hard. Was kind of weird to be there without him being around.

Was able to get a chance to talk to his dad and we decided that we will keep his business and name going. So in the next few weeks when he feels like it, we will sit down and figure it all out. His dad will work the sells portion of Matts business and I will do the work. Figure that would be what Matt would want since his business was everything to him.

Unbelievable, just ....no words. Having lost a child, there is no greater pain, just be there for his parents. They say time heals all wounds, well it doesn't, it just becomes a little bit more bearable. Don't hesitate to ask the parents how they feel about talking about him. My friends basically asked us nothing, they were scared, but truth was we loved nothing more than talking about our little boy, it was good therapy.
I sympathize and wish them peace and so sorry to hear about their loss.
