Safest way to remove bugs

What would be the safest way to take love bugs off they are covering my front bumper
 
Mike has a great trick with soaking a beach towel and sitting it on the front end or mirrors to loosen the bugs if a bug sponge is not available.
 
Bug sponge, Bug Brick. It goes by different names. I have used it with car shampoo or a spray of clay lube they come right off. I have been using them for years and never scratched paint. One less cleaner I have to pull out of my supply cabinet.
 
I'm sure all the products mentioned do the job but I've always used WD40 w/o a problem, ever! Right before you wash, spray a liberal amount of it on the bumper, let it sit for a bit and then wipe down, afterwards, wash the car as normal and your all set:dblthumb2:
 
Once a month I drive 200+ miles to upstate NY and get plasterd with bugs. Duragloss 471 (6.99) and a Pinnacle Safe Scrub bug remover takes care of them almost effortlessly. I haven't had any issues that I can detect.
 
I will say that as long as you keep a good coat of wax, those buggers will not adhere to the paint so easily. Little QD and off they go.

The wet towel method works well tho it does take some time for the buggers to re-hydrate but if anything, I would say this is the safest.
