Yeah they are pretty much junk. The wash is harsh, the protectant spray causes dashes to crack, and I'm pretty sure the windshield cleaner is just water with something to make it a little sudsy. The tire spray is sling city. But these boxes go on sale for like $10 every Christmas and there's always an aunt or cousin that gets it for me, lol. They do include halfway decent microfibers, wash mitts, and stuff like that.

Re-gift em to friends and neighbors. LOl

This is kind of strange request but I'll throw it up anyway.

I just moved from Germany to the DC area and all my detailing supplies are on the slow boat here. I just bought a new, to me, e39 BMW and I'm dying to get it cleaned up and protected before winter.

I really don't want to re-buy everything so I was hoping to put together a mini kit of samples to get me by until my stuff arrives.

So, I'm basically looking for samples of everything needed to clean and prep my car for winter. Ideally from one person to cut down on shipping costs, but I'll do what I have to do.

Please PM me if you've got some sample size stuff you're looking to get rid of and we'll see if we can come to an agreement.

The car is black, black leather interior, overall good shape but has never been clayed or polished and the wheels are filthy (and probably in need of some polish/wax as well).

I bought the Chemical Guys 6.5" Hexlogic pad kit, but in reality, I just don't need all of these different types of pads and from what I've read; just ONE of any type of pad is probably useless, right?

So here's what I have (to trade), all brand new, never used;
Black (Finishing)
Blue (Light Polishing/finishing)
Yellow (Heavy cutting)

Would like to trade for;
White (Light-Medium Polish)
Orange (Medium Cut)

ALTERNATIVELY, I'd be willing to trade all 6 (one of each of the 6.5" hexlogic) for an equivalent-value set of pads. I'd also consider used but clean/well maintained pads (Maybe 8 or 10 pads for the 6 brand new ones?). Just let me know what you've got. Essentially, I need to do some swirl/defect removal on my wifes '02 Taurus, and some new car polishing/prep on my new Focus set to be delivered in December (SF4500 on very soft black paint). I don't really need the non-cutting finishing pads as I can just apply those sorts of things by hand. As I'm a newbie I'm not particularly 'sold' on the hexlogic pads, so they could be any good quality pad. However, if you are not trading all 6, then I would only be interested in other Hex-Logic pads since, the point is to have a couple of pads to work with in one sitting.
