Well, we got some snow last night here in MA. So, this morning I came to work and the sand/salt truck was here in the parking lot. I make a point to park away from the building and away from other cars since we all know how careless some people are. I can see my truck from my cubical as well.

Anyway, I'm watching the sander drive around and he backs up with the sander portion facing the drivers side of my truck...gets to about 2 feet away and turns the damn thing on and then drives away. So, he threw rock salt all over the side of my truck! I can't see the damage right now since my truck is covered with salt and sand from the roads. But I'm sure it left some nice scratches.

Just drives me nuts the nerve of some people. I obviously park there so no one hits me, so why the hell would you salt/sand the side of my truck?! I was pissed. By the time I got out there though he was gone.

Just had to rant about that to some people that will understand!

that dude wouldve gotten a mouthful at the least and him, or his company would be getting a letter.

I'm considering actually writing the company. It's the same company that does the landscaping.

I definitely would've stopped him and given him every opportunity to swing first. Always let them swing first:xyxthumbs:

Dang that blows, just your x-mas reminder that there are lots of A-holes in this world and unfortunatly you can't shoot them no matter how bad they need it.

HAHA democratic state....take a wild guess how the state feels about it.

That means they would make you thank him for scratching your truck since you are an evil capitalist that drives a truck that's killing the polar bears. :nomore:

Yeah i love driving by a prius owner in that beer can with four tires while I'm sitting nice and high in my 3 ton 4x4. It makes me feel good knowing that it took more steel to make my hood than that entire car.

Yeah back here(CA) they would make you let him get to "clean" it with a green scotch brite pad.

Yeah or driving by a "Smart Car"...those things are smaller than the prius. I swear those things are just going to blow off the road when an 18 wheeler drives by them!

Aren't those the things truckers put on the top of their cabs to deflect wind off the front of the trailer?Im the MAN

Had a guy rearend me with a little econo box and he broke my flag hitch cover! He had to get a tow, but I let him go with no worries after his leaking front end smashed in car got to the side of the road. I was trying so hard not to laugh I didn't even take his offer to pay for a new cover, wish I had gotten a pic. His whole from bumper was about 6inches closer to the driver than that morning.

Sorry for the hijack

No problem, back on the subject. Last week when we were going to get some snow the city of wake forest brine spreader made sure to make two passes right next to my truck. They were using what looked like 90% salt to 10% water/brine. So I had this crap all over the driver's side of my truck and I was not a happy camper. Luckily I have some ultima waterless wash so I dusted off my truck and gave it a quick wash but I was still pizzed about it.:nomore:

My truck gets a healthy dose of salt water (or brine) just from driving around the roads here through the winter. It drives me nuts.

Happens to me to when I park at work, I park far away from the store to avoid but it still happens.
