Sand/Salt Trucks

This thread makes me want to fire up my Dodge and go run over an Evo. Hey Ziv your car might be fast, but how does the AWD work in the deep mud?

Wow...this thread has been completely hijacked huh?! Thanks Ziv!

I think some people actually do get a kick out of spraying/dirtying a nice car. Some of it is jealosy. As for 'just a Chevy', I'm not a fan of the marque, but I certainly appreciate that you take pride in what you own. And I would rather drive an American branded car than a foreign one, that's my preference. Regardless of where the Toyota, Honda, etc. is made, the PROFITS still go overseas, and that is not good for this country. As for performance, yes, I've driven a few, including an L-88 Corvette (it wasn't mine, but it was a thrill), a couple Chargers and Mustangs in the days when high performance was more than decals on the hood.

I see a lot of foreign makes owned by members of this forum, and they do a great job of keeping them maintained. It's not my choice of brand, but why insult them? We all are on the forum to learn and support one another.

about as well as your big truck does around a corner. Considering I have other vehicles at my disposal, why would I take it through deep mud?

Think I might have to take a few pics of my dodge trucks. '85 Ram prospector and an '89 Ram 150. both beautiful machines ;)

I think its time to bring this one back to original top.... lets all have a nice Xmas Eve.

I just read through this entire thread and if I can inject this one thought...

We're all "Car Guys" and "Car Gals" on this forum and chances are very good that we all have more in common than we do have differences...

When I first started working in this industry I had to teach classes for all the car clubs in Oregon, Washington and Idaho, it was my favorite part of my job.

Once I had to teach a class for the Oregon Metropolitan Club, you know the funny looking small cars that look like this,

At that time, I really thought these cars were ugly, I mean U-G-L-Y

But over the course of the class I could see that the owners had the same passion for these cars, (the car that in their eyes is a dream car), as the Mustang guys and Corvette guys have for their cars.

It taught me to check my opinion of a particular model of car at the door and leave it there, which I've done ever since that class.

Same kind of thing here in the way this thread went a little off-topic...

I'm empathetic towards the OP because I feel his pain... as Bill Clinton would say, or I feel his paint... as I would say...

As for the off topic direction this thread went... life is too short to make enemies... we all have more in common than we do differences, lets check our opinions of what a cool car is and what a cool car isn't at the door...

Besides that, I've come to find out there are some pretty cool Nash Metropolitans out there...
