Sanded through clearcoat?

So what's the best way to finish it out and get rid of the lint? Just buff it once it cures?

Yep. Start with your least aggressive pad and polish and if you don't like the results work your way down. Then work your way back up. I would recommend using a rotary. If you have a rotary, work the pad so it spins from the new clear towards the old clear. You do not want to pull or push the nuclear back off of the old clear where you blinded it or it will result with a more obvious line.

No rotary, just a pc7424. I am guessing I should avoid sanding, even 5000 grit?

It's sort of hit and miss with blending
I would just start with the Polish and work your way back from there. If you screw it up real bad you can always clear it again. 5000 is almost like using compound anyways.

Yeah, skipping the sanding given how my weekend has gone... will probably polish next weekend. Give it a good week to cure

Sounds like my luck. I can't begin to tell you how much I hate flying, stinging insects.
