i know the PC is a sander/polisher but i was wondering if anyone has used it as a sander on a vehicle? i was thinking of doing a little wet/color sanding this weekend and just dont want to spend money on a orbital sander or do it all by hand. if anyone has please let me know how it worked out as well as some tips like speed setting and anything else you may have learned. thank you

Nope, usually via DA. If you're just sanding a few isolated spots, doing things by hand is the most convenient. But anything more should really be done by machine. It produces a quicker, flatter and better result. Kinda like comparing correction work performed by PC to doing it by hand.

3M's recent Trizact system works incredibly well too leaving the finish much more refined in both the 1500 and 3000 grit steps.

I have always wet sanded by hand , I feel I have better control that way . But if there is a better way I am open to hear about it . I have several very expensive paint jobs coming up which will have a lot of wet sanding , one of whicfh is an extended cab dually .
