{More on the thread-starter's subject matter a little bit later... :)}

-This past book-ended weekend (09.07-10.2012), the Wife and I drove down to Paducah, Ky. to attend the:
Four Rivers Corvette Club's annual "Corvettes on the River"...A Charity Car Show to benefit the St. Nicholas Family Clinic.

-Upon arriving, unloading, and parking our vehicle at our Paducah's motel destination,
we were then greeted by the predicted severe storms...With: Torrential, flooding-rains;
60-70mph wind (tornadic action just a few miles north in Illinois);
and even small diameter hail...That lasted into most of the night.

(Most Corvettes don't float very well...So we took a taxi to grab a bite to eat.)

-However, by sunrise Saturday morn, the weather turned out to be excellent!
Dried the vehicle...Off to the car show...

-What was pretty unique...This is a car show that is judged by some of the senior(<<< been there awhile)
Technicians from the Bowling Green Assembly Plant!!

Here's a few of the pics of this event:

The Junkman, himself!!
He drove down from Louisville, Ky. to once again provide on-site, hands-on, detailing-training.

Very nice Man...
Glad I had the opportunity to meet, and speak with him in person.

Which sealant?

Any spritzes or sprays?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Happy detailing...:autowash:

-Thanks for asking, VT; and: Thankfully, the monsoon rains removed a lot of
contaminates from the drive down to Paducah!!

-I must admit that, due to the timing of this 'planned-get-away',
most of the following was rather hastily done (not my style :D)...

-As for the:

-PPF'd surfaces...
a.) Pre-trip: XPel's Dedicated Sealant
b.) At Show: The Turtle's: Synthetic Detail Spray

-Painted Surfaces...
a.) Pre-trip:
1. Once around with 3M's Imperial Hand Glaze...MS wipe-down
2. Once around with WGDGPS
3. Once around with Meg's #26 (including a chilled-distilled 'water treatment' 8 hrs. later)
b.) At Show (except for the rear clip):
1. Meg's UQD/Klasse HGSG @ 8oz:1/2oz ratio
2. Rear Clip: 50/50 mix Meg's UQD/Distilled Water...
Followed by "The Optimum Car Wax"(<<<Thanks again VT!!...Gotta get me a jug or two)

-Tires, rear valence, front air dam, engine bay (hoses, fuel rail covers, etc.), moldings, etc....
a.) Pre-trip: 303AP
b.) At Show: 303AP

-What Little 'Bright-work'...
a.) Pre-trip:
1. Wheels...Sprayway to clean...Then, Simichrome
2. Exhaust...Sprayway to clean...Then, Simichrome
3. Under hood...Mother's Aluminum Polish (Procharger & its 'accessories')
b.) At Show...Same as a.) above

-Glass Areas...
a.) Pre-trip: Sprayway and Meg's D120
b.) At Show: Same as...a.) above

-Leather Areas...
a.) Pre-trip: LeatherMasters
b.) At Show: Slightly dampened, white MF towel

-My apologies...if I've inadvertantly left something out.

:)

Persistence and dedication. :dblthumb2:

That's quite a regimen to follow...you are detailer par excellence, and forum member extroadinaire.

3. Once around with Meg's #26 (including a chilled-distilled 'water treatment' 8 hrs. later)

Maybe someday, you'd be willing to expand on this step - for use by us less knowledged folk.

are u indonesian FUNX725?

^^^Not that I know of^^^
(Mom was half-Cherokee, though :D)
.......[J/K].......

I had 3 of my customers Vettes in that show.............I didnt go to the show.

^^^It would have been nice to have met you Wendell.^^^

I really like the Richmond area...
I spent my early years growing up around Lancaster and Danville...
Often wish I'd never left!

BTW...Hope your customers' Corvettes were awarded trophies!!

:)

I know that guy. I see him bright and early every morning. He's really rough to look at that early in the morning. :D

I have been having the same 'mirror-issue'...

But alas...
I'm still inflicted by, and can't seem to elude the roughness,
that continues the remainder of my waking-hours. :(
