Science and New Detailing Products. . .

Let me make sure I understand you...

You want RW/WW car-wash manufacturers
to show proof that their formulations has
"the right stuff" (micelles) that encapsulate
soils, thereby allowing them to be rinsed
or wiped away from the vehicles' surfaces,
without inducing harm to said surfaces?

Welp...
That is the actual scientific, innate behavior
of these types of products (and most every
other soap/shampoo used by mankind)...
that's been tested-to-death by numerous
[1 +...n = n(n+1)/2] Scientists over the
decades...the results of which are readily
available for peer review.

This is actually a very good point, Bob. And I think it answers my original question. I really wasn't considering the fact that these companies are using technology that had already been tested, and proven to work as advertised. I'll go out and see what I can find on micelles.

Thank you very much!

I don't want to call a guy and have him elaborate on his marketing. I'd rather see some controlled testing. But that's just me.

Dr. G is like the least marketing-oriented guy there is, I mean, OPT basically does no marketing, that podcast is about the most they have ever done, other than going to SEMA and Detail Fest and making a video or two with Mike Phillips.

Arguably if he was any good at marketing, you wouldn't be asking the questions you are.

And to Bob's point, what we're talking about here are surfactants and "soy-based polymers", so crank up Wikipedia and maybe look here: http://www.dupont.com/products-and-services/personal-care/soy-polymers.html
