Introduce myself huh? I always feel these threads ask me to talk about myself but i will try to keep it brief, lest you get bored :xyxthumbs:
Okay so the basics are i am Scottish transplant into Los Angeles, California and absolutely loving it!!
Now that i have a place with a parking space i have finally got round to getting something i have wanted for years..... An American muscle car (pictured if i do this correctly), which leads me to you....
The car is in excellent condition, the paint work looks pretty great with the exception of some swirls that can be expected from a used car and a few minor blemishes i am sure i can work out (damn they stand out on white paint though).
The car is a few firsts for me, it is the first white car i have ever owned, in fact it is the first car i have owned that is not black.
I fancied a change and went with the polar opposite of my usual. I see white is not a popular colour for the people of here to work with.
Meh, i like a challenge.
It is as i say, the first car i have owned in the USA which a) opens up a whole new world of care products and the likes, but also b) brings me a whole new different environmental outlook of body care. I am faced with a lot more sun here where as in Scotland it was rain, snow and salty water/air from the harsh weather at the coast. If paint was in good condition the layer upon layer of polish and/or wax did the job.
So i have browsed and perused for a while and will continue to do so until i get home to my new pony (I work over seas on a 5 weeks on/5 weeks off rotation). But i felt i should introduce myself incase i feel the need to ask questions or give anybody my tuppence worth of advice.
And now, the question that must be asked by all noobs i am sure....
I have made a small list of products i am considering ordering to have waiting for me when i get home and would love to hear your thoughts, i jotted them down right next to an order of detailing steps i picked up on a thread here
Wash: whatever turtle wax branded car shampoo is in the apartment.
Clay: Mothers clay bar and Mothers showtime instant detailer as a lube
Paint Correction & Polish: Poorboys world professional polish
Seal: Wolfgang gloss spritz sealant
Wax: Turtlewax at home (I have noticed turtle wax is mentioned little to never here, any reason? However i have to use it up before i go splashing out on another product that does the same part of the job)
I was also thinking of Poorboys SSR2 swirl remover, but i am a little fuzzy as to between which steps it should be applied?
Okay, i feel i have rambled long enough, love to hear your hello's and get to you know. any thoughts or feedback would also be lovely!!
Thanks
Kris
