Well so much for keeping perfect paint on my 2010 silverado. My son drug something along the rear lower panel. It's deep, I tried some menurnza and m105 didn't do anything. I assume wet sanding could possibly blend this but I have no experience wet sanding :(. Any tips? Color is sheer silver

the photo kinda shows it. You can see a slight black line where the tonka truck reflection is. Scratches is about 4-5 in long

Thanks!!!

Daaaang, I feel for ya! It's hard to tell just from the pics but it looks pretty deep. It's probably going to need to be wet sanded, compounded, and polished and even that might not level the scratch 100%.

A similar thing happened to me last year when we went camping... My son decided to "draw" a picture on the side of my truck with a stick he found in the woods. I have no idea what possessed him to do this as he is normally very well behaved. He ended up dragging the stick completely around the body of my Ram 1500 quad cab 2 times before I could stop him. I'm just glad it was on my truck and not someone else's car.

Yea it's deep my nail catches it luckily it's lower and not super noticeable
I know it won't go away 100% just looking to lighten it

Yeah, the touch up pens aren't really that great for long scratches like that. Much better for tiny rock chips.

Ouch....I'd have to agree with Autowerx. Wetsand, compound, polish and pray!
