Scratched hood

The garage to just came down on the front tip of my hood, it's a small but bad scratch. I think it's down to past all the clear and on to the metal, I will try to show pics, ? Is can I wet sand it out with touch up View attachment 64802View attachment 64801

BTW, I am hoping this will do a fair to good fix. Aerosol sandable acrylic lacquer primer. Aerosol high gloss clear coat. And aerosol spray paint. Since I think it went to the metal, its deep. Any feedback will be helpful.

Ouch, that's a nasty one. I would use the brush from a touch up bottle if you have some touch up paint. That's a pretty heavy metallic flake so it probably won't be an exact match, but hopefully close. The important part is.... I would definitely not wet sand anything. It is already damaged and the only thing you'd accomplish by wet sanding would be to hurt the surrounding area and perhaps promote clear coat failure.
