I see that this thread has gotten a new life, so I'll just make this quick.
Couple of years back, took my 04 Chev truck into my local dealer for a recall. Service writer had NEVER seen my truck prior to this, he went out to get the VIN etc. Came back in and finished the service ticket, as he was writing he said, "You don't a wash do you?" Implying; we'll screw up the finish.
Needless to say, no wash, but sure was impressed with 'their' attitude.
