Scratches?

Hi all,

I am new to forum and have been detailing for about 1.5 years. Hope this isn't a dumb question but I ask anyway.


How to effectively remove scratches on the clear coat, light scratches that is. Is there a better way than just compounding. I learned from a dealership, rediculusly high volume dealership, so I would like to know a better way than just speeding through and covering them up.?

Welcome to AGO.

Most of the time the light scratches and swirls can be removed with a light polish.

Remember do a test spot and always start with the least aggressive pad and polish or compound combo and work your way up to aggressive. It all really depends what your trying to achieve
