Hi hoping someone can give me some suggestions I took of my motorcycle seat and had a couple of scuff marks on the gas tank looks like seat was rubbing didnt go through to the paint it looks like the clear is hazy.Is there any kind of polish that will fix that?thanks for the help

Assuming you don't want to wait to order products.......

I would try Megiuars Ultimate Polish first. If that doesn't work, you might need to step up to Megiuars scratch x 2.0. Next step up in aggressiveness would be megiuars Ultimate compound. I'm betting the scratch x 2.0 will work based on what you described.

If the ultimate line isn't available, you can use M205 to replace the polish, and m105 to replace the compound.

You can typically find these products at auto parts stores, Wal mart, etc.

Welcome to AGO jammer. Have you been on here before under a similar name?
Good advice from UglyBetty. Just make sure to wash the area before attempting any polishing. And use a clean applicator to mitigate any further scratches. To prevent the seat contact from scratching the paint you can install some clear film. Maybe a local vinyl shop can give you a small piece of scrap to put on. Also regularly cleaning and protecting(wax/sealant on paint and vinyl/rubber protectant where appropriate like the seat) the area between any parts that touch/rub is a good practice to prevent excessive wear.

Good advice. I would invest in ultimate compound and ultimate polish. They can be found pretty much anywhere. I would not get scratchx considering UP and UC can do the job. The other two would be getting M105/M205 locally. I know autozone and pep boys carries them.

Good point.

My suggestion probably wasn't clear, I was thinking one step, one purchase only using scratch x as a one step. But the other two combined can be used almost anywhere.

No never been here before first time member. Thanks will try ultimate polish first and see how that works. Thanks for all the advice

You can also clay bar it and then use a cleaner wax (mothers carnauba cleaner wax)
