Sealant choice

if you are looking for a good sealant that will last quit a while and give you a great shine I would go with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. Also Four Star UPP is a great sealant as well and a little cheaper. If you are looking for a good nuba to put on top I would go with Pinnacle Signature Series II or Max Wax

Slightly better longevity from the Jetseal 109.
 
I put Wolfgang Paint Sealant on both DDs before the big storms started to hit SoCal in early January. The look is different from a nuba finish but I am still amazed by the glossy white finish of the older BMW (clay, TSR, FG, then WGPS). :dblthumb2: I hope to try a nuba over the sealant this weekend on one of the cars.

If beading is important to you; beads were distinct and tiny when I pulled into the garage during the storm. After one month, I can't address durability.
 
I love PB EX-P. Toped with PB Nattys Blue. Nice tight beads on my black titan

I believe the collinite is a carnauba that has the durability of a sealant

If you want protection that is second to none, use the Duragloss 601 bonding agent followed up by either 105 or 111. Fantastic looks and it will bead and sheet like crazy for months and months.

If you're applying collinite by machine, then remove by machine. If by hand, make sure you apply SUPER thin, I didn't do this and that's why I had such a problem. I wouldn't personally top 476 with 915 or any other wax, if anything a second layer of 476 would ensure proper coverage I guess. 476 is still amazing me and I should take a picture soon of my car buried under the snow with the melting snow running down and beading so nicely.
 
I haven't tried wolfgang but i love zaino. lasts 4-5 months.

:iagree:I have tried at least 3-4 sealants, BlackFire Wet Diamond has the edge, it produces a very sharp and defined shine, Wolfgang 3.0 is runner up
 
Does anybody have any pictures of Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection on a light colored car? Does anybody top UPP with a carnauba on light colored cars?

I haven't tried 4 Star UPP, but used WGPS on our light colored BMWs. Over the weekend, I tried OPT ID & GE over the WGPS on our white and champagne metallic BMWs. For light colored cars, the combined finish is slick, smooth, mirror-like and seems to have a glow to it. I'm almost afraid to add a carnuba.

Last night, I was asked if I would detail our friend's black '94 Porche Carrera as his detailer could never get his paint so nice. Supposedly, they used a Teflon treatment.

The request put a nice smile on my face, followed by a cold sweat across my brow...
 
OK. I'm going to pick up a bottle of UPP when I place my next order (which will hopefully be tomorrow). I haven't decided if I'm going to top it with Optimum Car Wax, P21S, or M26. M16 looks good on light cars, but I just wanna try something else and was wondering. Thanks!
 
I don't have pics anymore but UPP/16 is an amazing combo on white. It was a very popular combo back in 06/07 (especially on light colors). I missed it so much I picked up UPP again so I can revisit that combo. I can tell you UPP is one of the slickest sealants around.

I would go with M26 or Optimum Car Wax. M26 looks good on light colored cars as well.
 
My favorite is Wolfganf DGPS. Goes on and comes off easily but as far as durability I can't say as I'm reapplying every 3 or 4 weeks.
