Sealant gone?

Pollen and general tree secretions can kill beading very quickly -- even Collinite. You need to watch where you park.

The car is never really parked around trees. Most of the time its in parking garages or in my garage.

I ordered it from PB's World's official website. I applied by hand and worked it in with 4-5 overlaps on a section at a time. It seems like it sheets water more than beads it, but the stickiness still doesnt make much sense.

I didn't use NXT this time because #26 seems to look better on the car. A lot more dept and wetness.

You glazed and then put on a sealant..Is it oil-based glaze like Megs #7 or Acrylic/polymer based like ez-creme ? From what I heard oil based glaze don't bond well with sealants and so that may cause the problem you're having..

Sticky after IPA is odd..what did you put before you IPA ?

Btw even if you don't park under a tree.. you may pass a long stretch of roads that has trees everywhere... traffic jam under such condition may be the culprit as well...

Usually only got sticky paint when it rains under a tree but you said that wasn't the case... So I guess t hat can only be something in your prep...CMIIW am a noob here :)

what is meant by sticky? you put your finger on it and it sticks, or it is not easy to slide your finger across the paint?

Welcome to the Forums Sulla!

I used PB's White Diamond which seems to be a ez creme.

by sticky i mean that it did not easily slide across.

I use WGDGPS and the slickness wears off after a couple washes or rains but the beading goes on for ever. Even when I'm "sure" it's not there anymore - it still beads. My previous sealant was KSG and that beads for ever too. Never used the PB's though.

Maybe the glaze is doing it? Try a spot without that, or maybe half the hood with and half without and see.

I am almost through my second quart of EX-P (that's a ton of cars) I have to say that "I believe" that the EX-P is still on there. EX-P is a very durable sealant in my experience.

Dave, do you have any tips on applying EX-P? I plan on doing my fathers car this weekend, clay, 105/205, PB BH, EX-P and maybe top with Fuzion. It is an older Tiburon, dark blue with lots of swirls and RIDS. I'm not looking for perfection just want to make it look a lot better than it does. I bought the BH for my black car (haven't used it yet) and read the EX-P went good with the BH. Just looking for suggestions on application of EX-P.
Thanks in advance,
Dave
