Would there be a bonding issue if I put a coat of NXT or Megs 21 or any other sealant over Eagle One Nano Spray Wax? I just washed the car yesterday and sprayed on the Eagle One .

You want the sealant applied first, then you could top it with wax
Applying wax first and then sealant over will result in bonding issues as the wax will not be a good base for the sealant to adhere to

NXT has kaolin in it, thus it will lightly clean and remove anything under it.

Thanks for clearing that up killrwheels. You always come out with the straight answers if you have them, no bs. You can take his sugjestions

I've brought this up in the past. With the many sealant based spray and WOWO products and products that are a mix of wax/sealant...sometimes a sealant is applied over a wax.

But for best bonding, the wax (i.e., carnauba) should be applied on top of sealants. My understanding is wax mechanically bonds to the surface and may contain oils which could inhibit sealant bonding on top. The sealant (which crosslinks and chemically bonds to an oil free, clean surface) forms a stronger bond, provides better durability and should be the base.

With that said I still often top Souveran with Z8 (sealant based) to amp it up...IMO, it's all good.

I thought I read somewhere that Optimum Opti Seal can be applied over a carnuba wax

I Just Bought A 08 Red Tundra, I Have Allways Used Mother's Product's With Fairly Good Result's. I Would Like Any Input About What System Is The Best For A New Truck.
Thank You.

I recently tried the Zaino CS over a carnauba, and didnt care for the outcome. I guess its either wax or sealant for me ...

No more UPP topped with PS? I agree on the ZCS (and OS) over carnauba....I use Z8 over carnauba and like it more.

I believe Opti-Seal can be applied over a wax, correct?
