Sealant PO85RD With?

oh man for real?! DH can you confirm this?
If not exact, then very close. PBMG had Menzerna make TSR for them in the image of 106FA more or less. AG's notes say if you want 106FA in a smaller size to just get TSR.

Dangit!!! RIF!!! Thanks man...I need to call Nick in the morning.

Thanks for all the help guys...I really appreciate it!

Hey Rick...very nice chart btw!

Damn, if i would have checked AGO before i finished my detailing! I did m105/205, and then PO85rd but no IPA wipe down! Just went ahead with 2 layers of CG Black Light. It does look awesome btw, but what can/will happen? Should i just IPA the car again and then do my LSP again?

Actually WG TSR is the same as or very close to Super Intensive Polish (SIP) PO83, and WG FG is the same as or very close to Super Finish 106FA. Check out both product pages towards the bottom (just above where it says 32 oz. (1 Quart)).

Menzerna Super Intensive Polish, Menzerna PO 83 , Mernzerna PO85RD 3.02

Menzerna Nano Polish PO 106 FA, Menzerna Final Polish, Nano abrasives, finishing polish, professional polish

Yeah I saw that :-(

I think I'm just gonna stick with the order though.

I wouldn't feel bad. It's good to have anyway. I have so many compounds and polished it's ridiculous.

Don't worry about it. It will be OK as long as you at least wiped it off with a MF like you did with the m105/m205. The IPA removes any remaining oils/fillers so that you can get a good read of the true condition of the paint, and helps the LSP to bond with the paint better.

Yeah...its all good. I'm just gonna stick with what I got. I know how WGFG makes my car looks...lets see if 106FA is any different! :)

Thanks for correcting me Tad! I hate it when I give misinformation. Lol, I just pulled up my pdf copy of AG's chart and there it is staring me right in the face. Oops! :o

I did wipe it down. Also, there seems to be a lot of very small "dimples" in the hood, almost like rock chips, but only visible when looking closely with halogen lights. I did KIND of want to hide as much as possible bc 2 6-section passes of m105 wouldn't get rid of them. I swear, it looks like someone painted the hood of the vehicle with out proper prep because some scratches seem to be below he clear!

Thanks for the info. Really appreciate it!

I ended up getting both. I just beat the free shipping block. I appreciate the info you've given me...I know we've had this conversation before in another thread. Thanks again for helping me out.

I do have TSR left but I think TSR is too aggressive. Uh oh...I have WG Finishing Glaze...anyone know the cut of the FG?
You mean while helping you out I missed my free shipping block? Arrrrg!!

Lol, j/k man. I didn't know about the free shipping block and had no order lined up. It's going to take a decent sale + free shipping to tempt me to move some of my wish list items into a cart. hahaha! I gots the will power now! I'm invincible! Muahahaha! :D

Edit:
Hey Rick...very nice chart btw!
I can't really take a whole lot of credit there. I pulled most of the information from this chart here: http://www.auto-geek.net/charts/wax-chart.pdf and one of the pictures ranking meg's aggressiveness relative to each other. And took some guesses to fill in the blanks. Guesses, not based on experience. I've been meaning to put these numbers on labels and slap them on my bottles so I can see at a glance how tough is the stuff when I start poking around my cabinet.

Sorry to hear of your dimpling issue, however I am sure after your polishing session, your car looks great...

85rd is just 106fa with less of the abrasive.

That statement is incorrect.

You only have to look at the scale on each label to see that 106fa or ff has more cut than 85rd. The finish is extremely good with 106fa, but 85rd is still the real finishing polish. Both have their uses depending on what you trying to achieve.

If you have used both you would surely have noticed the difference.

I've followed up 85RD with CG's EZ Creme Glaze (to remove polishing oils and cleanse the paint, while at the same time providing light fillers - supposedly), then BFWD. Good results!

The statement has been made by Menzerna reps at Detailfest. I don't see how your reasoning contradicts what I said.

85rd uses the same abrasive powder as 106FA (I don't know about FF). More powder to break down equals more cut like the label says.

Both also show a gloss level of 5 on the chart you are looking at.

I haven't used 85rd and don't own a rotary but like the extra cut I get from 106fa on my dd. I don't think I'm leaving too much gloss on the table by not getting into the jeweling stage.

I have both, and use both, but honestly if you are just doing your own vehicles, I think that 106fa is a much more versatile polish. I'd be happy to send you a sample of both, and any sealant you want, just shoot me a pm.

Thanks Dave...I ended up picking up both but I appreciate the offer for the sample. I figure it can't hurt to have both. Besides...I got it using last weeks VIP Gift Cert, and with the free shipping from yesterday, I pretty much say I only spent 10 dollars on it LOL!
