I just spent almost $400 on friday afternoon. How do all these free samples and give aways work? I can't believe I missed out on all this after spending so much.

When you place an order you get to choose a free sample. If you don't see it below the invoice screen, go back to the AG home page and on the left you will see a link for samples.

I managed to get a $20 discount on my order and a free sample of Pinnacle Liquid Souvren but I just saw a bunch of give away posts come up on FB and I'm not sure how that works.

I really wish customer care would have brought this to my attention when I called.

Some items are not eligible for discounts. VIP and BOGO items do not qualify, as well as polishers and other big ticket items. So there is a chance they gave you the discount depending on what you purchased.

Or add your request for sample(s) in the "Comments" field on the last page of your order. I've done that and it has worked.
