Ok, first time post here. Just getting into more precise detailing on the truck so I am a newbie so take it easy on me. Used to just throw on some cleaner wax and then some collinite Insulator wax to cover it. I have now upgraded to using the Griots RA. I washed, clayed, polished(with mixed results) I think I need a more aggressive polish or pad. Still had a few swirls that I had to work to get to where they are at. But then laid down Griot's paint sealant and was planning on using their Best of show wax. (I just got their kit so thats why I am using those products). But I was also debating on using the collinites ins. wax again. So do you think I should put that on after the sealant then the best of show wax? Or other way? Do do I even need both? I am just trying to overdue it a bit cause I dont have as much time to detail nowadays. Thanks. Great site by the way. Lots of info I need to keep reading up on. Lots of products as well!

Collinite Insulator wax or 845 as we all fondly know it is a hybrid sealant/wax

I think it will bond to the griots sealant but probably shouldn't be put on top of the best of show since it is a pure carnauba wax and sealants bond best on clean paint.

If you want to use all three then the order is griots paint sealant, wait 8-12 hrs, collinite 845, wait 8-12 hrs, then griots best of show

I think you will be good with just the sealant and 845 (even the 845 alone). Maybe a couple months down the road, you can put on some best of show as a refresher after washing, knowing that the sealant and 845 will still be there going strong

yes the 845. I have used it for yrs with great results. But the shine could be better. So thats why I was guessing putting it 2nd. I will see what it looks like after I get it on and maybe see about the show wax. I have it, I might as well use it I guess. Thanks!
