I`d like to thank all the good replies regarding Collinite 845. Now since I`ve been persuaded to not use Megs NXT2.0 under the 845 I`ll need a sealer or something under the 845 Right?

Without breaking the bank on cost what sealer would you use under the 845?

Also I been using Megs Ultimate spray wax [ which I like but not against changing ] once a week but would there be something better over the 845? Jim

I personally don't see the need for a sealant under a couple layers (for total coverage purposes) of Collinite #845...

But if you'd like, try:
Wolfgang DGPS, Meg's 21 2.0, the Klasse Twins (or just Klasse HGSG)...
at different price-points to meet most detailing-budgets.

I, too, use Meg's Ultimate Quik Wax.
Optimum's Car Wax is a good choice also.

:)

It is not neccesary to use anything under 845. In fact, I would recommend not using anything under 845 as its best to be applied to a clean unprotected surface to get the best protection. If you wish to top 845 with an LSP, that is an option.

Megs USPW is not a bad product. I have been using XMT360 spray wax with good results over Fuzion. It seems to keep the shine and the protection lasting and its reasonably inexpensive.

I use BFWD under my 845. Which probably too expensive for you if you're on a budget. Collinite will work fine alone. Unless you have disposable income. I throw on the 845 just so I can wait for my BFMS wax to come.

For you two nice coats of 845 and call it a day.

Thanks for all the help. Yep I`m on a budget for waxes, I have 3 cars, a 1991 Merc. that I purchased new and have waxes for it that I been using for 20 years and won`t change [ Megs No 26 & Show car glaze ] the car looks perfect always. So two different inventories of waxes is not cheap especially when we all have so many other products for the car. I remember using a expensive product maybe 10 years back Zymol and in as much as it was pretty good I could not justify the expense over what I was using.

I have 2 new 2013`s Honda Accords Sports that I decided to put together a new waxing/paint protection system, one that`s not expensive or cheap, pretty much in the middle and that`s where I like to be. Again the help is appreciated. Jim

I use 845 on my wheels and use 476 on the body as a sealant, base before any other layers, after prepping the paint.

I top 476 with Pete's 53- just tried topping with 476 with Blacklight and then Pete's 53, absolutely dripping wet.

I found using Collinite as my base layer offers the durable protection I want plus I can top with more glossy, wet, don't last very long waxes, as a topper, knownig that the base protection is very good.

Ive used it and your right it is awesome. It use to be hard to find but I see it all over the internet. It will not streak if the surfice is cool . The gloss is outstanding. They say that the protection will last 4 months , I know the shine does last a long time.
