I continue to use Wolfgang DGPS as my sealant.

Are there or what are the befits to moving to a Grahame or sio2 coatings.

I have a daily driver that I just want to keep a long lasting protection.

Should I just stick with what I’m using or step it up.

How often to you apply your current product? I remember that being pretty popular when joining AG but yeah, maybe try something new to see if it works for you

Well, what are you driving? How is it used? How much detailing do you like to do?

Wets on exterior trim and tires
Wolf and Cockpit sealant on interior trim and Dashboard
Fusion Spray

I'll keep it old school, since your using an OG product right now:

Duragloss #111 w/#601 polish bonding agent and if I remember correctly, it's a 3:1 ratio (3 parts #111/1 part #601)

See how you like it

This is a conflicting argument I have playing out in my head at the moment as I await a new car..................

Modern ceramic with higher resistance to just about everything, along with increased longevity, easier cleaning and next level hydrophobics to make drying quicker................or......................traditional polymer sealant or carnauba wax that gives such a lovely look and feel to the paint, decent longevity for garage queen statis and more flexibility to try different products.

Personally, if you like what DGPS does for you, its such a lovely product in how it glows and that slickness. If you wanted to go for something more durable, try another ye-olde product in Collinite 845, which also has that glow and slick feel. For both, just use a spray wax/sealant as a drying aid and you will easily keep the car protected.

This is DGPS -

This is 845 -

If you want to try something new but don't want to make the full leap into coatings, then Gyeon Can Coat EVO would be an excellent choice. Think of Can Coat as a gateway drug to a ceramic coating. It won't outlive a full-fat ceramic coating, but it will give you the crazy hydrophobics and chemical resistance. Longevity is stated "up to 12-months", I have easily got that and then some on a daily driver parked outdoors 24/7. Using an appropriate drying aid, then a decon wash with a higher pH soap every couple of months, I got 15-months out of Can Coat EVO.

CC Evo is great. I'd also be tempted to try Kamikaze Overcoat spray coating.

Wolfgang makes a DGPS w/ SiO2. Might be a good next step, since you like the Wolfgang brand. I've never used the original, but the SiO2 version is pretty good.

Guys, Thankyou for all of your suggestions. This helps out a lot.

Just had ceramic coating applied

I go through your city on the way to my band rehearsals.

If you ever see an old 04 GMC Canyon with stripes of clear coat missing it's me!

Love that color too!

I'm also a big fan of Duragloss 111, and the 111/601 combo. Maintaince with Aquawax and Fast Clean & Shin will keep it looking good for a long time.
