Does anyone think that applying sealer with the l.c. grey finish pad, or blue pad is a good idea..and why??

still doing it the foamy pad way.......:o .

A 4" LC grey pad is what I use to apply just about every LSP I have. Some people think it is wasteful but I don't think there is much more product left in the grey pad than a yellow hand applicator. By machine it goes much faster and is applied very evenly. When I finish my hands/fingers don't ache! Just my opinion. Lots of people don't agree with this method but it works for me.

I never thought of using a 4" pad to apply waxes or sealants. Less pad to absorb product. GENIUS! lol

Agree..i may give it a try........ THANKS GUYS:cheers:

Although I do not use PC every time that I apply and LSP I do use a pad often for LSP application. I have found that other than the intitial charging of the pad I do not use more product unless i put on more product. It certainly is a more even application of the LSP compared to my hand applicating. Am not sure if it is easier for me but it certainly is a lot more fun to use the PC.

I apply Poorboys EX-P with my LC gray pad.

Just like Dr. Mike said! Poorboys EX-P is "cheap" compared with other sealants so I don't feel bad putting it on a gray pad, putting the PC on 3 and getting the whole car done in 10 minutes!

If I'm dealing with a more expensive sealant, then I use a foam pad. Why? Because I'm addicted to putting sealant on cars with a foam pad. I know, I'm crazy...

Me too.

I would rather make sure I had enough product and good coverage and maybe waste a little than not to cover well. You're only gonna do this every 5 months or so anyways so make sure and do it right.

I use the white EDGE2K finishing pad for my thinner LSP like NXT. It holds and keep most of the product at the surface of the pad. Make sure dampen your pad with a mist of water. This helps the product spread out evenly in and on the pad as the PC runs.

Sealants like Wolfgang DGPS are super easy to use, and I don't bother using PC, I apply it by hand.
