Hello AG. My name is Sayed. I've been a member/lurker for some time now. I've done some hobby detailing/buff jobs in the recent past for friends and family. I even did a full wet sand and polish for a cousin on his black 1997 lexus SC300 a while back and it turned out amazing. So then why am I seeking a detailer you ask?

I've come to a point in my life where I neither have the time nor the patience to do the job correctly. I just bought a BLACK 2005 Lexus LS 430. The car is gorgeous with original paint, BUT the paint has some flaws. There are rock chips in the hood that have been poorly touched up. There are water spots on the hood, roof, and trunk. AND of course everyone's favorite, SWIRLS. I bought the car from a Volvo/Jaguar dealership in PA. They had their guy buff and detail the car before I picked it up, but being a hobby detailer I knew that the person that did it was either inexperienced or just plain didn't care. The buff job was adequate at best (he buffed AND waxed the car in 2 hours), and the interior detail was decent but damp carpets left unventilated left a bad scent in the car and trunk.

I'm looking for an experienced person to spend some real time on the paint correction to remove swirls, and the water spots. I will supply the factory touch up paint for the hood chips. I'd like those filled and buffed even. Also the odor in the interior removed.

Please leave a name and number along with a website, Facebook, twitter, whatever method you use to display your work. All responses are greatly appreciated. I will contact you ASAP.

Thank You,
Sayed

I have heard good things about the skill of Phil at D******** D***** (sorry, but I had to self-censor since he runs a website that is a direct competitor to Autogeek).

I'm sure there are plenty of AGO members that would love a shot at your job. Either way, I'm sure you'll be in good hands! :xyxthumbs:

You should find plenty of quality guys here in your area!

Yeah I hope so. I want to get this car looking good again.

Hmmm...I'll have to see if I can find "Phil at D******** D*****". I'm interested in seeing other work folks have done in the past as I am a little picky (an understatement at best). Hopefully some of the members here will reply with contact info.

If you want to make the trip to Long Island, I'll teach you how to do it yourself for the future

Greg Gellas Signature Auto Detailing, is in Randolph I think. Up north there is dsms (Street Dreams detailing) and Phil who I think someone PM'd you about. If you are further south, likenewautodetailing in howell (Clean Dean). There are also a couple of members in south Jersey.

Thanks for all the responses. They are much appreciated. I will look at ALL of the guys mentioned and you will all hear from me before I hand the car over to someone. Thanks again!
