Wondering what everyone would suggest for a glaze on my girlfriend's car. It's a 2016 Cruze. Red in color. For wax I ordered some pinnacle souverans. From what I read it works great on black and red and dark colors. Looking for a wet look. Thanks

I have had great results with Black Light by Chemical Guys. Gives you a deep wet luster to the paint!

Maybe try Essence so you have longer protection that will fill in as well.

I have blacklight. Was just seeing what others have to say. I've read alot of good things about poor boys black hole

My favorites are Prima Amigo and Poorboy's Blackhole. Both have good fillers and look great. I like Amigo a little better as it contains very mild abrasives which correct/clean the paint while filling like a normal glaze.

I've got a sample of Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish, which is similar to Amigo, that I'll be trying out this fall.

I think I'll go with poor boys. I don't think I can get prima in Canada. If anyone knows a site in Canada that sells detailing products that would be much appreciated. Only one I could find was eshine

^^ this. Two coats of Blacklight an hour apart and then top it with a good Carnauba for a nice warm glow and you'll be more than pleased. The key however still remains in the level of correction. Nail that and the rest will amplify your results. Here are some pics of my car with a great combo of products.

I knew Bob was going to recommend 3M IHG! Totally forgot that one. I used it many years ago and found it always worked well. For those of us who didn't have a DA to do mechanical correction, it was a great way to hide the swirls!

Her cars a 2016 not really any marks. Glaze adds gloss? Looking for something more for added gloss or shine

Why even use a glaze? It's somewhat of an old school product anyways.. It was always meant to cover up small scratches to make the paint surface appear to look smoother. But in reality it's just throwing makeup on an ugly face lol..

I recommend going a different route but that's just me.

But if you are hung up on using a glaze, CG Blacklight is fantastic. Great product.

^^ Agree with the above for sure. However, if it's a 2016 and you're looking for added gloss, again, just spend a few hours refining he polish and coat it. The key for products like blacklight is it will add depth but so will a nice coating.

It's a fake cosmetic gloss. Everyone knows real gloss is produced from a smooth surface. The gloss even from a quality glaze wont really last long unless the paint has been prepped and polished. And after a clay and polish who needs a glaze anyway, the paint will have true gloss.

Fake cosmetic gloss? What a joke!
You even contradict this by
your own below statement:

The gloss even from a quality glaze wont
really last long unless the paint has been
prepped and polished.
And:
Just like a Glaze...the gloss from claying
and polishing also won't last very long
without being protected with an LSP.

Funny, I don't see a contadictory statement, Bob...

and to add, your last statement isn't nessesarly true. If the paint is well kept and maintained during weekly washing sure the gloss will remain. It will have natural gloss that will last much longer than makeup

I personally never used a glaze to hide or fill anything. I just used it as an additional step for the wet look. Clay, glaze, seal, top with Carnauba.
