Self cleaning car from Nissan.

Remember when the industry switched from single stage to 2 stage base and clear coat and they said you wouldn't have to wash or wax your car anymore and clear coat would keep your paint protected from the elements and always looking good? How did that work out..................lol
 
Exactly what Im thinking. Im sure it will HELP keep the car clean BUT there will still be a need for washing and maintenance of some sort.

Wonder what the properties are...like whether it can hold up to swirls and scratches better.
 
i was just about to post about this as well. looks interesting. a couple of questions i have are durability and cost. also, how does this Scratch Shield ("self-healing") work? sounds kinda like another scam.
