SEMA Roll Call - Who's going to SEMA?

They're surprisingly thorough in checking you out, though. I own my own business. i provided a business license and tax ID as well as business card. The business name doesn't specify what business it is in. They responded and said they did a web search for my company and couldn't find anything and did a social media search. They wanted now to prove I was in the industry. Wow

good for them. the show is to do business, not kick tires and just "be there". if someone is legit, they will get in. it sounds like you are definitely legit and shouldn't have to worry once you prove your info. unfortunately a lot of people still aren't anything but onlookers and still go there to clog the halls for those of us who actually are doing biz, but they do a decent job imo.

Blast from the past!

I think you're going to be blown away this year by SEMA in general but the Autogeek booth is gong to kill it!

We will get there Saturday night as well. We're taking a vehicle into the show, which means we get to sit in line for 1/2 of Sunday. ;->

Looking forward to being in the AG booth on Wednesday and our interview right before! SEMA 2015 should be pretty epic!

Good plan but wait until "first day syndrome" hits. Everyone (myself included) goes overboard the first day. Day 2, laying low. Day 3, back in the lane and making bad choices!
Pace yourself! ;)

I posted this type of question in off topic forum this morning and didn't get an answer. I'm trying to make plans for next year, too late for this year. Would be an excellent opportunity to mingle with manufacturers and fellow people in the industry. Full time is not the issue, it appears you need to prove you are a business and can provide documents supporting that. If they would even approve you just for being a detailer, which was my question
What are the qualifications to attend?
You must work in the Specialty Equipment Aftermarket industry and you will be required to provide documentation. Documentation may include a business card (company name and address must correspond with information in your registration, and must include a job title), business license, tax registration certificate or business registration, recent paycheck stub, and/or business photo ID (must include company name, photo and your name). If you registered and were approved for last year’s show, --and have not changed companies, job title, address or email--, you may not be required to show proof of involvement in the automotive trade again. HOWEVER, NON-EXHIBITING MANUFACTURER/SUPPLIER/IMPORTER/EXPORTER must be approved annually. If you have questions about documentation required, contact Customer Service, Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm, Central Time, toll free at 866.229.3687 or email [email protected]. International callers, please dial +1.224.563.3154.

Maybe I'll talk my wife into going back to Vegas for our anniversary and sneak away to SEMA...
