Hey guys. I looked around for a set up of the PC because I'm a little confused. I just got it today. It came with a white pad. I also bought a Flexible backing plate. A washer and wrench came with the PC, and a washer came on the Flex plate. Do I need bother washers on, or just the one that came with the Flex plate?

Alright. So the loose washer that came with it is not needed. So it's just as simple as screwing the backing plate in and going to work lol?

Hold on a second. There ia small spacer that came with the pc, is the washer that came with the backing plate flat. If so, you need to use the spacer that came with the pc than your washer than the backingplate and you will be all set.

Yeah. There is a small space that came with the PC, and then a white washer that came with the backing plate. So I'll use both...which means they'll be touching correct?

Yes, the spacer first, washer, backing plate. Man you made me think about that. I haven't had to put a backing plate on a pc in years.

Well that was simple. And that space will always stay on? So if I go to buff with wool and MF, I just take the backing plate off (with the washer), put the different pad on, and good to go, or should I take the washer off the backing plate and transfer it to the buffing pad?

Yes, you will always leave the spacer on there. Why would you remove the backing plate to put a wool pad on? Your wool pads should have velcro on them and adhere to the backing plate that you have.

Oh..well I guess not wool. I was thinking of using the white pad that came with the PC to buff...just screw it in to the PC and then put a MF bonnet around it. Would that not work?

Yes, just use that white pad to hold your mf bonnet, I guess the wool pad is the same way. Leave the spacer on then the pad. Do not use the white pad to polish with, it is way to course and cheaply made.

Alright. I just won't use the machine to buff with until I get a wool pad. Are you able to use the PC and my XMT products to polish up wheels? I'm 99% sure my wheels are polished aluminum. Would I hurt anything?
