I am now doing washes and mini details Mondays and Firdays out of the local crossfit by their request. He has setup a nice area, provides power and water for no charge. He just wants to add a service for his customers.

My question is I am looking for ideas on how to setup the back of the mini-van I use to transport materials and detailing supplies. I just want better organization. Examples, best way to store towels, pads, transport hoses or extenstion cords ect...

Awesome for you!!!!! Sounds like a perfect place to get a bunch of customers in the same spot!!!!!!!! As far as set up goes, I would get alot of bottles of the same size or 2 different sizes. Its easier to store them when they are all similar sizes.

What is nice is it is by appointment. When their are no appointments he has me do staff vehicles. I was just looking for ideas on hose storage, cord management, ect..

I use a ford expedition so it's pretty similar to a van's usable space. One thing that I know now after doing this for a bit is that imnever gonna be completely satisifed with the organization of my mobile rig. I've changed it up many times in the past year, but this is how it is now:

I have everything in large plastic bins with tops so can stack them if needed

1 bin for most used chemicals ready to use in spray bottles
2 bins for gallon containers of chemicals and least used chemicals
1 bin for just extension cords, power strip with circuit breaker, gfci adapter
1 smaller bin for pads
1 smaller bin for "nice" paint towels
1 bin for detailing tools, and smaller bins and a bag within that bin to separate it all (brushes, air fresheners, magic erasers, air hose, air nozzles, vacuum nozzles, tape, steel wool, extra backing plates, extra spray nozzles)
1 bin for unused stuff (jumper cables, heavy duty garden hose, 100 ft air hose, extra vacuum hose)
1 polisher bag with 2x DAs and polishes/waxes that I use most

I organized it to where everything that I use most is easy to access.

Everything else fits snug in the truck:
Fold up 5' table
10x10 canopy
Large and small step ladders
2x wet vacs and hoses
3x wash buckets stacked together (1 bucket with all the wash tools and pocket hose and sprayers in it covered by a lid thing)
3x 1 gallon sprayers (apc, traffic lane cleaner, fiber rinse)
3 gallon air compressor
Large sack of multipurpose microfiber towels

I'll post a pic if any are interested, but I know it all boils down to how you personally like your stuff organized
