So about 3 years ago I bought my 1988 Mitsubishi Mighty Max from the original owner. It had been maintained very well other than the paint.
I drove it like that for a while then bought another car. When it was stolen I started driving it again and wanted to clean it up.
I used Meguires cleaner wax on it one day for kicks and grins and that brought some color back. I should say that at this point I had not done any more detailing than clay baring and hand waxing.
Not too long after that I started working at Mitsubishi as a detailer. My first day I buffed my truck with some generic swirl remover.
A few weeks after this I let a layer of Meguires no. 7 sit on the paint over night at work. I used that same swirl remover on it again. I don't have any pictures of this.
After i got more comfortable with a buffer and had a little more knowledge (thanks to this forum for the most part) I decided to cut and buff my old single stage paint, topped off with some Meguires gold class wax.
Here's a side by side.
What do you guys think? Keep in mind this is my first paint "restoration". Feed back please
