Shipping Held Until Promo Day?

So was anyone else's order held on to for a couple of days this week until today? It just seems convenient that there is a Free Shipping promo with an outside sponsor that started today, and my order sat in "Warehouse" status for two full days until my order actually shipped. This is my first personal order from AG, so maybe this is normal? I do have things from AG but from orders I did not personally place. I can definitely appreciate the current free shipping promo, don't get me wrong. And yes, part of my order was cancelled due to items no longer being available, but I called on Tuesday to fix that, and was told it was in the warehouse, not shipped yet, and they could simply add the extra item to my package at that time. This is Thursday, and my order was scanned by UPS tonight around 8pm. I'm not really complaining, because it's really not too big of a deal to me. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if this was possibly because of the UPS sponsored promo. Hope I don't sound like a jerk.

I have placed quite a few orders through AG and it does take a day or two to get shipped. You have to remember that AG get a lot of orders and sometimes it takes a little while to pick the order and pack it. If you want the items shipped faster, I would suggest selecting a different method such as next day air.
 
They were probably especially busy with Detail Fest also. Not that the warehouse workers would be out there doing DF stuff, but I'm sure they needed to pull stuff off the shelves for DF.
 
I'm not sure I follow what your "complaint" is...that they didn't ship it fast enough? Or that you missed the free shipping? Or that since they didn't ship it until they were into the free shipping promo, they should have given you free shipping?
 
I have noticed that shipping on my orders has been slowwwwwww lately. I placed an order on Autogeek and ADS the same day and got the ADS order 3 days before.
 
I've had orders sit in the warehouse for between 1-2 weeks. Wasn't too pleased. Also had blackfire bogos removed from my legitimate order after it sat waiting for Megs D156 to show up. I guess it was too difficult to keep the blackfire in my package until it shipped. Again, wasn't too pleased. Especially considering how much I spent with AG in a 2 month period.
 
Ok, those points make total sense! No complaint at all. I will expect this from now on as normal.
 
Clearly there is some churn in AG; hope they work it all out quickly.
