Shipping slowed down?

I've ordered a lot from AG over the past couple years and shipping has always been very prompt!! If I ordered early that morning, it would always go out the same day. If I ordered late in the day, it would always go out the next business day. However, my past 2 recent orders have all went out 2 business days later, that's very unlike AG. I'm not complaining, let me make that clear. I'm just more curious if AG has been bombarded lately? Need some extra help? I'll come work for ya!! Im the MAN
 
Maybe AG is growing and getting a lot more orders than in the past?

I'm not complaining at all. I'm in no way, shape, or form angry that I have to wait 1 more business day, no biggie. I just find it odd that this is happening and I'm just curious why? It will not affect my future purchase from AG at all!
 
Are you adding notes to any of your orders? A few weeks ago I placed 2 orders about an hour apart, 1 order went out the next day but the 2nd order that I had a note on didn't go out for 2 days.

Same thing happened to me.........normally my most recent order would have shipped on Monday but didn't ship till Wednesday. Didn't really give it much thought though until I read through this.
 
Well first off I am sorry you have experienced slow shipments, I personally take an interest in getting out the package in a timely manner.:work: Hence why you haven't seen me too much on the forum the past couple of weeks, I have been sweating out in the warehouse. :o We have experienced in the past few weeks a doubling in the orders being placed. And as you know with growth comes growing pains! So in the past few weeks we have had to make some adjustments including hiring six new warehouse staff, 3 new office admin staff, larger UPS semi trailer, building two new offices, expanding the warehouse for over stock... and the story goes on! :eek: Also due to our growth our vendors all had a bit of trouble supplying our needs, but Max has handled that now and I think we are all on the same page now. I am very happy to say with the help of Max and all of our staff we have gotten to where our load does not exceed our staff and stock. It has been a crazy month but I have really enjoyed the challenge as have the others, we have a great crew and they have been here all hours and weekends making sure we take care of our customers. We have extended our packing hours and upgraded shipping on a lot of our orders that were not shipped out within 24 hours. The storm is over and after this past week you should not see any delays in your packages, but if you are ordering and you want some personal Meghan attention please put a note in the comments box...Meghan Ship Out Today!!! :kiss: And I will make sure you order is lightning fast!:bolt:

Weird. It happened to me this week too. I placed an order Tuesday evening and it didn't go out until Thursday. Not complaining either, since I'm in FL and it'll be here today. Besides, it's just a hobby for me and I'm always just getting things on sale instead of what I need, so I'm never in a hurry to get it.
It might be different for the detailing professional though, so I hope for their sake this is just a coincidence.;)

Now, with the internet, tracking info, etc. you can follow every shipment realtime through the distribution system and we still wonder why it takes so long.
 
I can attest to the fact that all the office workers and shipping staff were working extra hours and trying to keep orders moving around DF2010. I also know Meghan was looking for additional help in both areas. I truly believe she is giving everything right now as AG moves to the next level and only time before its smoother and faster than ever. Sometimes you gotta give alittle to get alot in return.

We have been spoiled as of late with easy online ordering and same day shipping. It was not many years ago when you ordered something from someone you never know when to expect..like 4 to 6 weeks...and could rarely get anything quick.
Now, with the internet, tracking info, etc. you can follow every shipment realtime through the distribution system and we still wonder why it takes so long.
I laugh, I ordered from a couple of different companies online this past week.. May is my bad month, I have like ten family members birthdays. So I have to share my experience with online ordering with you, because I was SHOCKED that others get away with such horrible service. First I ordered last week from ***mart (you figure out who it was LOL), now you would think such a large company there would be no problems... oh was I wrong. My nephew turns two Sunday and he wants a train, so I ordered it a week in advanced. No email follow up, no confirmation email, BUT Paypal has taken my money and given to ***mart. So I email them two days later, they dont know what happened, so ma'am if you could please place your order AGAIN! What, I now have a few days for shipping, SO I order again and I have to pay for next day air. Best part is even with next day air they have processing time so I got my order in three days! It was a learning experience to say the least! :p

Thank Scott, we do all put in some hours here, but truth be told we all love our jobs and we really enjoying working together, even if it's late night, Max always feeds us a nice dinner!:hungry:
We are always working on new ways to improve and speed up the process of shipping out orders, just takes a day or two to implement new processes. But I believe we have it all worked out now and we are running like a well oiled machine! UPS guy just shakes his head when he comes to pick up the orders!
 
All I can say is i had a note on my orders that said "saturday delivery ok" (I put that on everything that way it wont sit in a warehouse all weekend if it arrives on a thursday or friday. All three went out SAME DAY but got held up in jacksonville for three days with UPS GRRR.

So you are the one that puts that....:D I saw that I think this week or last week and wanted to let you know UPS does not deliver on Saturday! But we do pack orders on Saturday, only day we don't is Sunday, we have to take a little rest here and there.

Thanks for the VERY informative information. As I said before, I'm not in the bit bothered that I have top wait an extra business day! I figured AG was getting huge amounts of orders, hence, the slightly longer shipping time. I was just curious if my guess was right. :) Congrats on the growing company(as if it wasn't already huge)! AG has the best customer service I've ever dealt with, honestly. :props:
 
That is great news that AG is able to expand with the current economy and all. That is good to hear these days.

Now, when AG decides to expand and make another wharehouse on the western side of the US (somewhat like Summit Racing and Jegs) I will be glad to help run the house. I'm looking for a new career venture in about four years!
