Shipping to hawaii sucks.

Just orders some stuff and payed 20 bucks shipping, not bad I thought until I got a email saying it was going to be another 40 bucks because it was overweight! That sucks. Not upset at AG, just bitter about how the shipping here is. Guess my prices are going to increase a little.

That isn't too bad considering the weight. Water is 8 lbs per gallon, each solution is slightly thicker than water. I'd guess it was around 45 lbs when boxed, so it about $2.50 a pound shipped. I've paid $60 to ship an envelope to London, at that rate you came out well ahead.

Not trying to say you can't complain, but maybe listening to my case may alleviate your side a little.

I generally pay $300+ for shipping to Brazil, paired with 60% tax (over product price + shipping) on any order I may place at AG...

Don't worry, product quality, AG customer service, makes worth it at the end.

Suddenly I don't feel so bad getting stuff shipped to Canada.
 
Thinking of solutions,
If you buy lightweight stuff during one of the Free shipping sales, have'em shipped to a friend or family on the mainland if possible then they can send it to you via USPS flat rate packages, they don't cost that much.

Even for heavier weight stuff, USPS priority and Parcel rates are lower than UPS or Fedex to HI, so a friend or relative can forward it to you @ a lower cost.

Generally when I place a thread or question asking, Rupes 21 or 15, that means I'll pay both, but I'm in doubt because I'll only get 1 in the end.

Sure, not (any) AG's fault, but this is the way things follow when ordering from Brazil.

The agility on handling and shipping, the variety and quality of products (not found here), the STELLAR customer service, are what encourages me to keep ordering here.

I may receive an order in 3-5 days, that's also another great thing to remind.

Yep , USPS would be cheaper as stated above .

& I tought shipping was expensive to Canada ! Not that bad after all .
 
Can you use free shipping from Amazon Prime?

I think AGO sells on Amazon under Palm Beach Motoring Group.
 
Just wanted to stir up a conversation with this thread and yes I know international shipping is worse. I still have to pay shipping even with prime. I tried to order just 2 sets of carpro glass polishing pads on amazon and it would have been 12 bucks or so for the 2 sets and, if I remember right, 25 or 30 dollars to ship. Oh well, cost of living in paradise right. Paying almost 5 dollars a gallon of gas sucks too!

Yep , it must suk big time , I mean the cost of living in Hawaii must be terrible . But it s a great looking place .

Yeah, paradise has it's price. I lived in Waipahu back in the 80's, I'd kill for a terriyaki beef plate and mac salad with rice!
 
Shipping to Ontario ain't much better and gas is the same price if not more than in Hawaii at $1.40 a litre right now

Everything s more expensive in Canada , Hawaii looks expensive too as with Guam .
