Shipping

Living in Florida (but not anywhere near where I can drive over and pick it up) is like getting hit twice - Once for the tax and again for the shipping. I too have had multiple orders in my cart, and walked away over tax/shipping. I know PBMG is focused on covering the cost of shipping, but there IS a cost to these lost orders.

It seems like two solutions keep coming up in this thread:

1) USPS Flat Rate as an option

2) Some sort of Prime-esque annual membership to reduce or eliminate shipping costs

Any thoughts from AG staff on either of these specifically?

Guys..

Stupid me just remembered how I got started on here 2 years ago...

I saw a video on youtube for Wolfgang products

They still got the promo code of "wgyoutube" for free shipping over $85..

It still works!!

Don't know how long they will keep this post up but go for it

My 2 cents. After reading various comments !! (and being in business)..
Most companies will price their products (markups), to cover employee cost's, overhead, etc. Remember they do not buy retail!! The more they buy the cheaper the product is.
I have walked away when shipping cost more than the product. Complaint USP takes a whole day to get out of Florida (3-4 days delivery). Philly shipment $4.95 shipping arrived in 3-days. TRC Idaho USPS three-day delivery, over $30 free shipping, arrives in 3 days.

So I needed some Ironx I checked here and an other site who has Carpro on sale. 2 bottles 1000ml AG with sale discount $28.49 other site $23.99 shipping AG $15.95 to New Jersey other site $5.44. Difference of $19.51 looks like USPS wins that one, It's just one of those deals where I don't need but a couple of things and I cant spend over $150 to get free shipping.:wow:

Listen guys, honestly this has been posted about and argued to death already. If AG was going to listen they would have done so already. I'm not the kind of person who will beg to do business with someone, and neither should any of you. I'm a loyal guy, if you treat me right i'll stick with you forever and even spend more money to stay with someone I trust. And also the exact opposite, and I feel AG has already burned my bridge.

There may not be another source of info like AG forums, but there are many sources of products out there.

jrs1418 - Agree! However your post, makes them pay attention, (or they should), Why!

1. Your telling them, your money is moving elsewhere.
2. Your post "alerts" others, to past or future disagreements
3. Most folks have your ethos, when spending, it's a wake up for them
4. If they care, they should step in an try to, make you a happy camper
5. They have in the past, offered a bone, to limit bad image, from...

Take a look at CG's forum 6 members on line, & 96 guests, compare that to here 400 members on line & 1600 guests, using the respective forums. All are dollar signs $$$$ potential sales, it's arrogant thinking & bad business, practice for them, to not care.

Mighty Sears Roebuck had this Arrogant thinking & now there inconsequential, nothing in the industry. Instead of Home Depot, you should be going to the Craftsman Depot.

Have you guys considered checking out the Autopia store?? They have most of the same items and usually have a "free shipping" banner up. I think now they are offering free shipping over $150 within the 48 states.

Specials

I believe there is also a free shipping code "AGO2013" for AGO forum members for free shipping over $150.00.

The problem is....not many of us need to spend $150.00. Most of us aren't asking for free shipping, what we want is not to get gouged for shipping. If you read through the entire thread, there are many examples, of the same items, where company "D" charges almost half of what AG charges.

Again, it isn't free shipping, it is fair shipping.

I appreciate and we hear loudly all of your comments, we do offer free shipping for forum members over $150, a few of our sister sites currently offer as low as over $50. We try to run specials often so you can stock up with great savings, and along the way offering great customer service, lots of education and a great selection not to mention we Price Match!
But we are always looking to improve!

Fair to you. I'm sure TPTB have a good idea of what is fair to the company, considering all the extra services they provide. Nobody says you MUST shop here, if you don't like it, shop elsewhere. Or is Capitalism and a Free Market Economy foreign to you? It just seems very uncouth to whine about how a company chooses to operate in the free forum they provide for your benefit.

Hopefully this thread can end now! *fingers crossed*

Given the subject of shipping ran 10 pages as of when I posted this it looks like it would be a good place to start :)
Why should this be considered "special"?

Like I mentioned early on in this thread:
This seems to be a sore subject.:whs:
For some...Yes, it does.
Always has been: at least since 2006.
Plenty of examples; here's just one:

Megan-

Not picking on you, but this is the same answer I got 3-4 years ago when i first started ordering from this site. Are you guys considering USPS shipping yet? What's holding you back? I'm just trying to understand why you wouldnt just offer USPS like everyone is wishing for... there must be a reason.

Could it be acceptance? USPS does not require a signature.

Why do they need to explain their business model and internal workings to you?

Neither does UPS.

Why do they need to explain their business model and internal workings to you?.

They don't. Same way no one has to order from them. Some suggestions have been put forth (USPS and membership), and intentionally ignored. It would seem the shipping profits are an integral part of their business model.

Exactly. AG has commented on this, and this isn't the first time this has been discussed. If people can't accept it, you have other options. At this point, seeing the posts keep coming is like beating a dead horse and come across as whining.
