This product has interested me for awhile, so I thought I'd try it. I really put it to the test on some very soiled Ford Escort hubcaps. As you can see the thick, caked on brake dust around the edge of the wheel, and the tires haven't been cleaned in a long time! FYI, the discoloration on the hub caps was already there prior to using the cleaner.

I'm thoroughly impressed with this product! :dblthumb2: i LOVE how it foams!!! I used the mothers wheel brush to agitate the cleaner. It didn't take a lot of effort to remove the very caked on brake dust. It also clean the heck outta the tire! Let alone an amazing wheel cleaner, this is one of the best tire cleaners I've ever used! :dblthumb2: Give this cleaner a shot on all coated wheels, you won't regret it!! I added a gallon to my cart. :D

I am suprised it worked that well. Nice review. Short and sweet and to the point!

OMG!!!!! Mark is that you?....an otc product with your approval?

J/K buddy......I really like this stuff as well...best tire cleaner out there IMHO!

My experience ties in with yours, Mark - I love this stuff, never had a bad experience with it, and since my brakes don't dust that badly, I've never needed a stronger product.

Looks like good stuff. You would probably like A2Z too. It foams a lot.

It's really me!!

I need to look into more OTC products! :dblthumb2:

Yep, best tire cleaner and coated wheel cleaner I've used to date.

Francis,

Is there anything out there that is MUCH stronger? The brake dust on these wheels were BAD, and the cleaner removed it with relative ease! :props:

Try it in some factory wheels that have been neglected so we can truly see how good if is! Hubcaps a a cake walk :)

Wow, worked really well. Mothers makes some really good products for OTC. Time for some new caps or a respray on that Escort.

this is my go to wheel/tire cleaner. it just WORKS. i like the fact you are using one product to tackle two jobs. i see AG has it by the gallon. going to have to order it. i like to pick up my stuff during sales etc. during the winter, so come spring i am ready. HORADING. on the same level as mothers, eagle one wheel/tire cleaner is also very good.

I am currently using Griots All Wheel Cleaner and Megs WB for the heavy stuff. How would you say the Mothers compares to the Griots?

Mothers does work well. In terms of tire cleaning, it is very close to OPC.

It is a foam clingy so it does not disperse over a wide area like many thinner type cleaners (say Meg's APC or OPC). It cleans where it touches, so I will spray in a more sweeping motion and spread using a tire brush to get even cleaning and reduce overall usage.

WOW, I am as impressed as you Mark!

Mothers seem to be one of those brands that doesn't seem to get a lot of attention but there products never seem to dissatisfy the user.

Thanks for the photos and writeup buddy!! :dblthumb2:

Heh, I'll have to defer to you and other more experienced members of the forum on that question - it's the only one I've bought, so I'd not know what's stronger :) (maybe one of the acid-based cleaners?).

Great review Mark. That stuff look pretty impressive. I like Eagle One A to Z but this stuff looks just as good !!!

According to a mother foaming wheel cleaner review you spray the cleaner, wait 30seconds then rinse off with a hose pipe and its perfectly clean.

Has this been your experience?

Why does this cleaning product foam so much? Is it the spraying head? or is the cleaning product that suds so much?

I bought an autogeek big foam sprayer for my apc. I really can't say it makes much of a difference in cleaning time or end results compared to a conventional spray head and same dell time/dilution.

I feel like suds is more marketing than actual cleaning. I feel the same way with snow foam, many people swear by it and other people post before and after photos and the snow foam has done nothing

Great comments Bobby.

I've posted this several times on this forum that Mothers products doesn't seem to get the attention on this and other forums that they deserve.

Mark, if this is the Mothers All Wheel tire cleaner, I tried to tell some of you folks about this product last year. The only issue I have with it, is the bottle only seems to last me for about 8 tires, or two rounds on one car. I wish it was offered in bulk, it's that good. For me to say that it cleans tires as good as Westley's Bleche White is saying something...but I think I may have a contender for first place...even more safe to use and is made to clean rims as well.

While I haven't gotten to use it on tires that I thought would require the Westley's product, my initial use of the Mothers All Wheel Cleaner sure got a WOW factor from me. The first tires I cleaned with it didn't even seem to have any dirt or brown slime on the tire, but the Mothers sure did make some brown goop role. I would have sworn those tires weren't that dirty. I was impressed enough that I used Mothers AWC several more times, about 8 bottles of it. I've got more ready to go for this coming spring.

I agree here Bill and it is available in the gallon size Mothers Wheel Mist All Wheel Cleaner, chrome wheel cleaner, aluminum wheel cleaner, Mothers wheel cleaner

I wasn't aware that it was available in gallons. The only downside I see as compared to the other product that I use is that the Mothers is 2/3's higher in price. Even though it costs more I'd be willing to buy it, but I'd want it 5 gallon containers at a minimum. I think it's use is well worther considering even for folks needing large quantities at once. The nice things is, it's available for otc consupmtion as well.

Why does this cleaning product foam so much? Is it the spraying head? or is the cleaning product that suds so much?

It is a foaming/aerating sprayhead.

BTW, we've updated the sprayer so it doesn't squirt as much product at a time - that way the bottle should last longer. Don't think you can stick any old liquid in an aerating sprayhead and have that happen, though. It's not that simple.
