should i buy the VX5000?

I did a search using "vx5000 instruction" and "vx5000 video" and I can't find any relevant video showing you how to adjust the psi. Any suggestions on key words to use? - thx

Go back up in this thread. It is posted there.

Are you referring to your post #17? I saw that but I also saw post #27 mentioning about a video, so I thought there was a video on the mod.
I don't ever remember seeing one, just step by step instructions.

No. The only video was the DVD that comes with the machine and it doesn't help much. It does not show how to raise the pressure. I'm sure it is one of those at your own risk deals.

Just a word about Steve. When I ordered my VX5000, I talked to him several times and got the impression that this is one cool dude with old school values and he's a businessman who's as straight as they come. In his dealings with me he was always true to his word and this as much as the fact that the VX5000 is a good steamer sold me.

I had a similar situation with shipping. Apparently these units are shipped from Italy and when I ordered mine, steve told me that one of his guys forgot to inventory correctly and he didn't realize that they were all out.

I have had some issues with mine... stopped completely working one day, shipped it back and when I got it back, it still didn't work right. Caused some down time and wasn't happy. The connecting hose that plugs into the steamer doesn't have a very good connection and the spray nozzles are difficult to connect and disconnect. Don't want to keep having to ship this unit back every time something goes wrong as the shipping gets expensive after awhile.

when it comes to getting another steamer, I will be looking for something better. I haven't used this one much and it gives me problems, not something I had expected from reading all the hoop-la over these units.

Are others having the same connection problems that this poster speaks of?

I spoke with a user yesterday that stated they have had theirs for 15 years and it is still going strong. Maybe it is like everything else in this world where what was heavy duty and solid 15 years ago, today is made with less costly parts that fail sooner. What are others experiences who have bought there unit in the last year or two?

Thank You!
