Should I had bought a Tornador instead of a Steamer for my mobile volume business?

So I guess back to my question, as well as TurboToys... When you're blasting that carpet stain with the atomized solution, where is the dirt going?

The tool creates a "vortex" of air that blasts some of the dirt/sand outwards and some of it is forced into the cone assembly. It has permanently changed the way I clean floor mats and interior carpets.

I would love to see somebody take a piece of carpet scrap, stain it, and use the gun to remove the stain with a cloth underneath to see how much gets blasted our and how much gets pushed through

I did some pretty nasty floor mats last week with the Tornador Black. Pre-treated with APC+ 10:1, left to dwell, brushed, then cleaned w/ Tornador w/ water only. Under the mats were completely dry and there was a brown outline around each mat from where all the mud/filth/grime was blasted out of the carpet fibers.

If you have never used the tool it's very easy to be skeptical. I was skeptical as well until I tried it. The Tornador Black is one of the best interior detailing tools money can buy, IMHO.

ok but what makes things subject to skepticism is the "wow" factor sometimes.

its not like a steamer where you would end up literally blowing the dirt out with high pressure steam, and you can see it on the cloth .

but where is the dirt going? i don't see a film of dirt anywhere around the lines of cleaned areas, it certainly does a great job at removing the dirt from those specific areas, but it isn't going anywhere but down it seems, the padding below the fabric may be absorbing it all rather quickly also, since it barely uses any cleaner at all.

i of course am itching to try one, but don't know if i can justify the cost of 200 dollars when i already have the foaming version of it that has 80% of the parts already on it.

The tornador definitely has it's place. It makes light to moderate cleaning so much faster. Is it necessary? No, but it will pay for itself in time and sweat saved.

Case in point: My engine bay. It's not filthy, no oil spewed all over, but it's not pretty and it's going to take some time to clean....or is it?

To do the engine bay and underside of the hood took 10 minutes including set up to tear down. I was done before my steamer would have been ready to start. I usually expect 30 minutes to do this job with a sprayer, brushes and rinse water. I only used about 6 oz of RTU product; with a garden sprayer I expect closer to a gallon of rinse water plus chemicals. Is it showcar clean? No, but good enough to pass muster of a typical engine detailing and almost no water used so I'm not worried about water getting where it shouldn't be, same big advantage as the steamer.

For carpets, I will take the steamer 9 out of 10 times. For floor mats, I jump right to a heavy flush of water and the extractor, then let them bake in the sun. For removing old dressings from vinyl and leather, tornador all the way.
