A little background.
1. I was slow to convert because I was a Collinite Insulator Wax guy for 20+ yrs
2. Tried Blackfire SiO2 spray first. No complaints. Pretty damn easy . Spring and fall was great esp on a winter vehicle that needed spring correction. It was competitive with the 845.
3. Tried Griots 3 in 1. Inferior to the Blackfire and a bit fussy.
4. Just finishing a can of Can Coat Evo. Fabulous product and superior to the Blackfire. Only issue, I kept can too long and this fall it would flash a bit too quick but a guy at Ardex recommended I give a fine mist of dH20 before final wipe. That was magic!!! Moral, don't have too many SiO2 products around at same time opened. The stuff ages out esp after 3yrs.

I get a year out of the Can Coat easy. Is their a better, easier , more durable product I should try or is this the one to beat still? Almost just bought it but decided to ask.... BTW, periodically I use the Gyeon Ceramic detailer with it.

An aside, is it possible than Gyeon Ceramic detailer and Griots Ceramic Speed Shine don't get along with each other? Sometimes the Griots seems to almost be waxy on top of vehicle these days, but I love a product like this that let's me do a quick clean up after a car is outside for days, lightly dusty, etc. Was a fan of Griots best in Show for years and it was awesome!!
Maybe my detailing clothes need to be kept dedicated?

Doing some research. Collinite was my go to for 20++++years. The new Ceramic Beadcoat sure has my attention!!!

Just did my neighbors car today with Can Coat. I'm getting 12+ cars out of a can!

Just used CanCoat for the first time last week. Looking forward to seeing how long it’ll last.

Just bought the Bead Coat. IMHO, Collinite 845 was the gold standard of durability for 25-30years. He even recanted his opening statements a bit. When you make top shelf, its hard to reach higher. They took their time developing their product. More than a year durability to me doesn't mean snot as living in New England or driving cars on track, they need a proper detail 1x/yr IMHO. I am not a Joe commuter .....I am very happy with a 98% finish.......no OCD in my veins.
It's obvious it blew the Gyeon Ceramic Detailer out of the water. That's just a touch up topper product. This is the reason I think Can Coat Evo should be the re-test competition. Only issue I have had with Can Coat is its shelf life. Now that I know, it is DEAD in 2 years....hard to use that much even on 6 cars in 2 years......I bought it to compare to Blackfire SiO2 back in~2021. So another part of the siO2 learning curve is product stability. Hell, you could use a 10yr old bottle of 845 with NO issues.....
Both are spray design etc. I will be back with feedback. Beside, I am a BIG fan of supporting our US companies if possible...they just can't build a proper sports car...no weight management.

I'm a firm believer in product brand synergy. I first heard Mike Phillips discuss this way back in the day and it makes total sense when you really think about it.

Stacking different types of spray waxes, sealants, detailers, etc. from various brands on top of each other can lead to undesirable results with respect to surface slickness, water behavior and longevity.

Does mixing products damage your paint? NO but one should not be surprised when the primary layer of protection (coating, sealant, wax) behaves in a way that does not match the manufacturers performance claims. This leads the user to feel disappointed or dissatisfied by said protection and will unknowingly attribute its failure to it being a "bad product" not realizing that other variables introduced might have possibly been the cause.

Huh???

Oh come on man, you definitely have some form of OCD. :pJust admit it, lol. You just referred to several different products that you've used (one of which you claim you had no problems with) and now you've just picked up another - Bead Coat.

We ALL have it. That is why we are part of this community. There is some part of us that pursues perfection, some part of us that pursues a pinnacle in vehicle paint care. We know perfection doesn't exist but yet we still cannot fight the urge to find something that could be "better".

There is no perfection. There is a diffeence between doing the traditional annual detailing v the crowd here of multi coated 1,2,3 days preps, corrections , ....bla bla bla. I used 845 for years because it got the job done better than any product out there. I have converted because these products are even easier. I can get the same results in an of hour now that used to require much more time.
I did have a problem with the Can Coat. It got old....... I hear ya, but................OCD ...not a chance. Wanting to give my vehicles proper protection in the easiest way possible......yup.
PPF is bullshit except for front bumpers and rocker panels. Not OCD about that. I just spent 2++hrs pulling that crap that was 11 years old of hood of one of my Evora because I had exquisite paint all over the car except for the unimpressive covered area of the hood. Folks blow 5k ON THE CRAP AND do not GET 5k BACK AT TRADE IN. JUST THE FACTS. I you like the protection ..great. If you've ever tried removing the damn stuff, sacrificial my ass.
Full on SiO2 coatings. No thanks. You should see what my Range Rover looks like after 10k miles of winter driving from CT to Maine. No coating can withstand the side of Sugarloaf and salty roads in 0 to -20 degree temps. I have traditionally done a spring detail...new term is a correction. Used to be a Mother's 1, 2, Collinite 845 job. 2-4hrs. Now its a polish and SiO2 wipe in 2hrs max. Love it! With 6 cars.....👍👍👍Sometimes, if I hit a nice weather window I'd slap ma coat of 845 on it mid winter for the protection in an hour while enjoying a few beers.

Bead coat more like the Blackfire product. CanCoat is a lot more stout. If needing a year Not much out their better. You could try CarPro Lite if you wanted something different but no need it would just be a side step.

If you feel real froggy Siramik Lustrous has been touted from the UK by some to be better. But you gotta order it from UK.

Have it. Haven’t used it.

CanCoat really has a pretty unique corner of the market with the CarPro Lite only recently arriving, but I don't know if it is actually any better.

If you're looking to do something different, anything else would be either a step back if you go with a sealant, or a step up in the form of a more durable coating. I'd recommend stepping up to a full coating. Gyeon's Moh's Evo is extremely easy to apply, looks good, and really durable from my experience.

This comment caught my eye. How much product are you using? I have the Griots Ceramic Speed Shine in my autocross kit and use it to clean up my doors before applying the magnetic numbers. It cleans up dusty surfaces really easily. In fact, I noticed it seems to be more of a cleaning spray that leaves nothing behind vs. others who clean and leave a little something behind to add gloss. I've used it in tandem with other products with no noticable issues.

All good points. Blackfire SiO2 was my stepping off the 845 train point and worked quite well. No doubt Can Coat better. Going to try my favorite brand and see if they have come up with something special...like 845 was forever! Their was nothing like Collinite 845 Insulator wax on the market.....

I know it may not be on everyone's list, but Meguiars Hybrid Paint Coat is a great option. May not be that far behind Cancoat compared to some other choices and since they discontinued it for their new coating (another option as well!!) you can grab it for like $17 at Ollie's. Thats a hard to beat cost/product ratio. 🤷‍♂️

Could be tough to find depending on your location.
