We're looking for some incredible photos that showcase your best work. It could earn you a $100 gift certificate to Autogeek.net for a monthly winner, or a $1000 check at year's end if your work is deemed the very best. Show us your detailing skills and we'll show you the money!

Each month, we'll pick a product line. Participants will detail a vehicle using a product from that line as the last step product (ie., glaze, wax or sealant). The Autogeek staff will pick the photo that shows the most impressive shine. The winner will get a $100 gift certificate at the end of the month and be entered to win a $1000 check from Max at the end of this year.

This is a truck I did with 360 when I first got hooked on AG!!! Not alot of details to be said. I used 360 via cyclo and green buffing pads and I used 360 on the wheels as well.

This is my friends skyline, as its a white car, it was lacking in reflection and wetness. It had alot of swirls, not really any scratches. XMT 3 took care of the swirls, then XMT 360 gave got rid of the marring + it gave it the look he wanted! Even after XMT 360 he thought I was finished without applying wax. XMT Rocks!

This is mummys car. Bought it 4 years ago, it was lucky to get washed once every 2 months lol. Never had been polished or waxed. Had heaps of swirls plus scratches ( was washed at an autowash ) The clear on this car was really really soft, I thought I would've needed XMT 3 and my LC Yellow Pad, but after XMT 2 and my yellow LC pad, most of the defects were gone. I didnt want it 100%, but it almost got there just with XMT 2!! Then of course XMT 360 on a white pad. Looked like we had just driven it out of the factory! The orange looks great doesnt it

This is my brothers friends car. He is a builder and he uses this as a work car, doesnt really care about it. It was at my house one day and I decided to do a test spot on his roof. After XMT 3 on my LC Yellow Pad, XMT 1 on my white pad, and XMT Glaze on my gray pad, it looked as if it just got resrpayed!

My mums friends car, they came over one day and I asked them if I could quickly try something on their car. After seeing the results, they wanted the whole car done!

These scratches happened as my dad reversed his car out of the garage. We have these trees on the side of the driveway that are harsh, and if your car hits them, scratches! Well that is precisely what happened! My dad got home and put the car in the driveway and told me to get to work. Out came XMT 3, then XMT 360 ontop! Scratches gone and a an awesome finish!

This is my dads car. The only polish/sealent that touches it is XMT 360. I cant get enough of it when I use it on the car. These pictures are with the XMT 360 as the LSP!

Amazing Turnaround with XMT Line!

This was not only the first car I ever detailed, but the first time I ever used the XMT line as well as my Porter Cable 7424. It was a whole lot of firsts! It convinced me to keep working on detailing cars and learning from Autogeek. The results from this truck also directly led to my first two paying details after people saw the amazing results I achieved!

From the pad cleaner to the last step product, XMT makes it easy. This was all done with Autogeek's XMT Heavy Swirl Removal Kit, consisting of the Pad Conditioner, Pad Cleaner, XMT 4, XMT 1 and the XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze.

I started with the hood of a 1999 Ford F-150 that had been oxidized and marred badly when the owner tried to repair it with a wool pad. You can see a small test patch where we used XMT 4. Note that the cloudiness is actually the surface of the paint in the flash of the camera, not any sort of wax or polish that has hazed!

PC7424013.jpg

After two passes with XMT 4 on an orange pad, we were here:

PC7424018.jpg

After one pass with XMT 1 on a white pad, here's the 50/50 shot:
PC7424020.jpg

Finally, I topped the hood off with the XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze using a gray pad:
PC7424027.jpg

You can also see the depth and luster that XMT 1 will add when stepping up from a more abrasive polish in this shot. The left side is after XMT 4, where the right side was with XMT 1 and the finishing glaze:

PC7424030.jpg

Finally, we are left with this. It doesn't look like the same truck, does it?

PC7424031.jpg

And a couple of sun shots to show off basically what amounts to a brand new paint job:

He was going to sell the truck before this, and get the hood resprayed before he could even think of selling it. Now, he's keeping it!

best my cars ever looked

I'm entering some more pics :)

When this car arrived, It looked as if he washed it with a beach towel full of sand. The owner told me it had a red pearl going through it and that he had barely ever seen it before.I didn't even feel like doing it, but after the results of XMT, I'm extremely happy with how it turned out! Dont you agree? :)

After XMT3 with a yellow LC pad, there was ALOT of hazing and micromarring. XMT2 on an orange LC pad took care of that, then XMT 360 on a white pad just made me want to drive this car to mexico and keep it lol :)

Pretty impressive work guys. Cars look awesome...

Well, here's my entry. This car belongs to a friend of mine who owns a reputable speed shop here in the mile-hi city
The car is 2006? Yellow Corvette, 402 supercharged stroked motor (goes 11.2 uphere!)
I offered to detail his car for free so I could try out my XMT 360 and XMT 180
Products used:
-XMT 360
-XMT 180
-Duragloss Car Wash
-Klasse AIO
-Klasse Vinyl, Rubber, and Leather
-Mothers Metal Polish, and Powerball
-Nu Vinyl (Trim Shine)
-Wesley Wite-Bleach
-Maverick's Rim Juice :)
-Duragloss White Eraser
-DG Aquawax
-Maverick's Wheel Wax
-LC, CCS Polishing Pads
-Meguiars Polishing Pads
-Sonus Finishing Pads
-Stoners IG
-Claymagic
-Adams In & Out Spray
-1Z Cockpit Cleaner

My friend like hi racey looks of his vette, and really didn't want me to spend too much time on it, so he thought :) Nevertheless, no paint correction was done, the paint was in fairly good shape -albeit some light swirls- but perfect for my plan

The process:
Gave the car a good bath with DG Car Wash, Wesley on the tires, and Trim Juice on the wheels
The wheels after washing looked blemished, with dull spots from harsh chemical cleaners perhaps, yet Peter didn't want me to polish it (eek!)
I did anyway, and polished them with Mothers Metal Polish & Powerball. It was going to take me quite a while to get them 100% done, but I did what I could to them to somewhat match the detail

I then started with the XMT 360 and Meguiars Polishing pad, worked it at 5Kworked on my PC until it disappeared into the paint. I really didn't have to buff it out, but I tried, and there was very little to remove, if any
Next, I applied my XMT 180 High Gloss Wax. For this I used a Sonus Finishing pad, and primed the pad with a quick squirt of AW in between panels PC at 4.5. I really liked this wax. I don't use wax very often, but I must say I'm pretty impressed how it looks on this vette
