This Escalade ESV came as a package deal.....TWIN Escalades!! You did read that right. The paint correction and coating of this MONSTER came a few weeks ago following the paint correction and coating of its younger sister, namely a beautiful 2015 Cadillac Escalade. Trust me when I say that you NEVER want to schedule 2 back to back Escalade for paint correction/coating. It was hot, it was miserable and it was a LOT of hard work!!!! I have to Thank God for my extra large wingspan because coating this baby was ROUGH!

Following a thorough bath and decontamination we proceeded to correct the paint defects. One thing I can say about this Escalade is that clear was HARD! We used LC purple wool on Flex 3401 with FG400 and I still had to chase those pesky swirls and scratches!!! Unbelievable!! I know my buddy Mike is going to chime in that I need to break down and get a rotary, and he knows how much I am dreading the purchase of a new tool, but I was at the point when I was going to get one overnighted. In any case, as Mike P says all the time, you can get it done but it will take a little longer.... and it did!

Here is a shot of the paint before and after!

Did you see that light set up Zach??? When am I going to see you with one of those boom light stand to go with your DIY light set up. It is AWESOME!!!!!!

Well, after a thorough correction came a double Erasor in preparation for the CQuartz Finest coating. Finest comes in 50ml bottle and this "boat" on an SUV required TWO!!! (for the required double coat). We did have a little left over so since we were finishing with the hood we ended up putting a 3rd layer. It was funny to see the product rejecting itself after a while.

So here are the gloss and reflection shots you waited for:

Interior was done as well!! PERL was used on the rubber and vinyl pieces and could not have been happier with the results.

I would put the other Escalade but it is all the same as this one!! I will however share a final picture of it for your enjoyment. I was my first 2015, and I think the first Show 'N Shine with a 2015 vehicle !?!

I sure hope you enjoyed! Feel free to comment, ask questions etc...

Have a great day!

Nahhh your DR Pain..... not Dr perfectionist..... you done a amazing job on that Caddy depth, and shine like no other....keep up the great work

Back to back jobs on those land yachts in the heat!? Time to install A/C in your shop!

3401, FG400, and wool not cutting it? Wow! Were you polishing concrete!?

I assume you made a second pass? Sounds like you need a PE14 in your arsenal.

As always good sir, outstanding work and dedication. Love to read through your work.

-Mike

Is there any way to improve on Motor Trend's Scott Burgess' summation of this Cadillac's redesign, saying:
"It's bigger, it's bolder, and it's more beautiful"?!?!

The answer is, unequivocally:
YES...Just add in some of Dr. Pain's-Bling!!
Thanks, Claude for proving this is true. :props:

To paraphrase Jim Croce:
"If I Had Dr. Pain In A Bottle"

Great job on those caddys! Gm knocked it out of the park with their new SUVs. The front end took a bit to for me to get used too but I like them a lot. Interiors in them are awesome! To me, a black Escalade is pure eye candy! Love them. And if you want you can pull just about whatever you want behind them. Awesome job you did

If I had a "Choice", I would take the caddy over any other SUV made. GM killed it with the design! Now I just need to hit the lottery so I can get one.

I did I know you were going to push that dang rotary on me!!!! Ok, here it is, I promise that the next time I face this kind of situation that I will buy a rotary..... just for you :p

It did seem like I was polishing and getting nowhere but it eventually got there. It just took WAY too long!

Great work - sounds like the clear on Infiniti SUVs...

I haven't done the new QX family. I was scheduled to do one but the lady hasn't called to scheduled an appointment. I will have to quote her AFTER I do my test spot LOL!

Looks outstanding! That's a whole lotta vehicle to polish

I was sooooo excited to book two coating in one phone call that I did not even think about the size and work. I was blinded by the $$ in front of my eyes. NEVER AGAIN!!! LOL!

Better than new Claude!

Thanks Paul!

ROFL! If you had me in a bottle that would be a great big heavy bottle. I seriously doubt that they make a 6'6" bottle ;)

Thanks! The 2015 interior was absolute luxury. I am not familiar with the packages they offer but the interior (which I was not commissioned to do was BEAUTIFUL!

I second that! Suburban, Tahoe, QX etc... don't compare one bit!

WOW, what an amazing job you did on those beasts! How far of a drive is it to you from OKC:) it would definitely be worth the time and money for your outstanding work my friend:)

Only a 9hr drive! You put me up and feed me and we may have a deal LOL!! Before you say yes, I have to disclose that I've been kick out of an All You Can Eat Buffet, ROFL! At 6'6" on a protein based diet, I eat often and I eat a LOT!

I live about 20 miles South of Lafayette!! Come on down! It is hot as the dickens and crawfish are not in season.... worst time of the year LOL!

Great Claude, as always. One is good, two is enough, three would be too much ? I bet.

Nice too see you starting 2015 S'n'S threads, pioneering again ahhaha

Thanks for sharing, and congratulations on this beautiful work.

Kind Regards.

Man, and I was bitchin about the Armada I did last weekend. In the garage with no breeze and about 100 degrees heat index both days. You got me whipped with that beast! Great work!

Great work Claude.

Thanks Francisco

A loss of all words but one and that's ....WOW...
Great job

HeyHey, thanks shiners/buck

I unfortunately won't be making a 2015 thread since it was pretty much just a glossying up (except for a couple of scuffs). and you can see the end result (the last picture). Trust me when I tell you that 2 was enough... 3 would have killed me ;)

Thanks..... From now on, I will think twice about taking those during the peak of the summer.
