My gray long haired cat lost his battle with kidney disease yesterday… Things escalated rather quikly and I had to take him to get put to sleep. Truly heartbreaking. He was the sweetest cat. I don’t want to post a pic because it’ll just make me more sad at this point. But I wanted to pay respect to his memory. I’ll always miss you, Kitties.

Aww gee, I’m so sorry,Eldo. When you lose a family member like that it’s always beyond sad. I had a dog that lost the battle to kidney disease. I can’t say much other than at least the suffering is over now. RIP Kitties. :(

Sorry for your loss Eldo, we know your pain. We'll all give our pets extra attention today. I'm about to take the dogs for their second walk of the day, even though they're being jerks.

My dog of 18 years also lost his battle with kidney disease that escalated quickly. Still think of him and haven’t replaced him. I don’t want another dog, I want him back. Had a dog all of my life but we’ve gone 3 years without a dog. Who knows if we’ll get one again.

Wish you strength Eldo.

That sucks, Ric.

Nothing but time can make pet loss any easier, but I wish you all the best my brother.

Didn’t you explain their job to them? Not much of a guard dog if you get all the way into the living room without a reaction. :)

If you are an intruder at my house, it's not the dogs you need to be scared of..............:coolgleam:

I truly hope someday you do get another dog. I mourn the loss of our Sadie Lu everyday. She's on our night stand in the bedroom.

You can never replace the loss of your best friend by getting another. Please don't think of it that way. Plenty of rescue dogs and cats are in need of a good home.

Thanks very much! The last few years with Tigger were rough and there was often a lack of sleep. At least for now, I don’t want to get back to reduced sleep as my almost 50-year old body has a hard enough time getting enough sleep. But someday I do hope to be lucky enough to begin another friendship with “man’s best friend”.

Just a sleeping dog in her kennel yesterday.
She was still pooped from the day before meeting her 'cousin.'
