Shower Doors and the PC7424xp

Help, she's killing me now.
I just did the flat stove top.

What she said.
"No matter what I use I just can't seem to get this stuff off the stove top."

What I heard.
"Well, Mr. Bufferman try your machine on the top of my stove and clean it!"

All little M105, Mr. Muscle oven and grill cleaner and a Surbuf pad and it looks brand new!
BTW - I threw away the Surbuf pad after I did the stove. It ain't goin' on any paint now.

Anytime there's a trouble spot in the kitchen i hear "can you use some of your car stuff to get this clean?"

I just got done with KAIO on the stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, and oven door.. :props:

I've been using Opti Seal on showers, stoves, small appliances... anything that's a PITA to clean. I hit the shower with Opti Coat last week and there's no comparison... nothing sticks!

BTW, OC is working out primo on that Vivid Black swirling problem. :dblthumb2:

I think I'm gonna buy a truckload while it's on sale! UPS guy saw the syringe laying around while I was doing the bike, I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm a junkie. Probably be dogs sniffing all my packages now.

Lol... Thanks for the mental picture.

It's all fun and games until someone post "I burned through the shower door Mike PLEASE HELP"

Well here's a little insight. Shower doors are tempered glass.
You won't "burn through" the glass. However, if it gets overheated it can break.
In that event, you will have THOUSANDS of very small pieces of glass that will go everywhere.

and yes, I agree, if that happens she will be VERY UNHAPPY with you! Don't ask me how I know.

2 Questions please

What type of product is /who makes M105?

Think Rejex could be used directly after M105 for a sealant?

Thanks in advance!

Holy thread resurrections Batman!

Meguiars

Reading this thread, I can offer some hindsight advice to anybody who might try this themselves: Your machine's already bought. No sense in touting it's many household uses to the wife. She will only demand more. Instead try this: Take the opportunity to polish clean the bathroom glass when your wife is away. When she comes back, tell her you did it all by hand. You busted your butt and it came out great, but your back really hurts and you definitely could use a massage... :hotrod2: :bolt:

:cruisin:

Used the PC with m105 and an orange pad yesterday on my glass shower. Topped it off with 303 shower shield. Looks great now! Thanks all.

This is a super-noob question but can the 105 be used with hand polishing? If so, what kind of pad should be used (be specific please). Thank you!

Yes, m105 can be used with hand polishing. Your choice of pad when using by hand or DA should be the same I think. DA just makes the job faster/easier.

Great thread. We just changed our shower doors earlier in the spring and I will say it is tough to keep them clear unless you stay after them every few days. I will give this a shot one day this week while I am on vacation and see what happens. I also have some Rejex to put on top of the M105. Cool.

I did my shower with the GG 3inch and glass pad with glass polish. Treated with OptiSeal and then followed up with Permanon. Keeps the shower looking good while house is on the market.

This is funny. I read maybe ten years ago about using Meguiar's ScratchX on the shower door to clean it. I had a dedicated bottle I used for years with an old cloth diaper to clean by hand. Sometimes I even put Rain-X on when I was done, to get that awesome sheeting action :) Got many kudos for cleaning that door.

I have since run out, and it's been a couple years since that door looked good. I think I'll get a bottle and hide it away for when I need out of the dog house.
