Whew, I cant believe it's been almost (August) 6 years since I have had my truck. I got the truck when I was 16, and have tried my best over the past 6 years to keep it looking "Showroom" new. Of course, 100,000 miles and 6 years of driving to high-school, college, beach, mountains, etc takes a toll on anything and my truck is proof that with a little attention now and then, you can fight the signs of aging.

It had been over a year since my last detail on the truck. Sure I have put on the odd coat of wax/sealant, and clayed once and hit it with 151 once or twice, but the paint was in pretty bad shape considering who the truck is owned by. Swirls, water spotting, contamination, hazing, scratches, it was all there. The undercarriage had not been touched in over a year and a half, the carpet was getting filthy and the wheels were in sad sad shape. Who knew I would let the truck get this bad, but I guess that is what NCSU does to a person, screws up everything. This weekend was time to change all that.

My truck has had many looks over the years, with this look being purely out of necessity. I was tired of small tires, or overly huge tires, both rode bad and were expensive. The bed rails and step bars were also removed due to excessive wear, and now the truck is much easier to clean, plus the UWS Toolbox helps me keep some of my detailing materials dry.

All in All, about 20 hours was spent on the truck, and while not perfect, I can safely guess there is no other Tundra that is still this shiny after 100k.

Thanks for looking

I think we need an odometer shot...that thing looks like it has under 1K miles, not 100K!!!. Joking aside, that truck looks great.

:applause::cheers:

Bravo!! That Tundra looks awsome. Very nicely done.

Looking amazing. Supreme job on the under-carriage and the engine.

I can't say anything other than WOW!!!!

It looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. EVERYTHING was so clean!

Seeing the undercarriage shots REALLY makes me want to move to where there is no road salt. My 2008 xB barely has 5K on it, and it already has some rust/corrosion.

Looks great, I have a 99 Accord with 94k and a 94 Mark VIII with 160k I get compliments on both ppl can't believe the age and miles, jus from keeping it looking good with maintence details.

Dude did you dress the tire on the inside too? Sure looks like it in a few shots of the undercarriage.

sell it now before it gets dirty. i think you could fool the buyer into the odometer being broken! B)

I want to know how the heck you cleaned that undercarriage soo well.... THAT IS AMAZING!

Honestly, I just drove the truck up onto ramps, foamed up the undercarriage with an APC, let dwell for 10 min or so, then hit up every spot I could reach with a Green Tire/Wheel brush. After dry, I dress with a water based dressing I get in bulk locally. I'd use silicone based just so it would last longer, but the dust/dirt attraction is horrible.

Great job the Tundra looks amazing & the pic of the engine& under carriage are outstanding ,if not for little spots of rust I would've thought your truck was new.
