Sick of winter

Snow started falling in the Chicago suburbs around 4pm today, it is still snowing and i have not seen or heard a single plow. Well, my RWD car will have a ton of fun tomorrow morning at 5am when i leave for work 30 miles away :(

Yeah I was heading up 53 towards Palatine and saw a couple, this was after 9 p.m. but on the way home it was 2 lanes open, then the lane would go away and come back but I made it home ok. My car has an ECON mode, makes a slow car, well, slower, if that's possible and it actually helps in this weather, combined with turning OFF the traction control. My Continental DWS' w/35k on them are getting the job done still!

I didn't think I was going to wash my car until Spring, But Sunday afternoon it was 50° and I couldn't resist. Turned the outside water back on, brought all my supplies up from the basement and went to work. I almost forgot what it looked like clean.

Monday it was covered with 8" of snow.
Today it's filthy again.
I'm done 'till Spring for sure.

Same thing saturday. Was clean until sunday. And just had a snow/ice event last night and into today. :nomore: One of the worse winters in PA for sure. Hard giving up a hobby for several months. I for one also cant wait for spring!!!

Prior to last weekend we could blame Mother Nature, now it's that damn'd Ground Hog's fault!

Yea, this is a winter that is really getting old.

So sick of this winter. Another round of ice/rain today. The only good news is that we got a ton of rain and it washed a lot of the salt off of the roads.

More possible snow this weekend. I don't ever think my cars have been this dirty.

I am so ready for spring.

I'm not digging it so much either

I was outside with the dog and could hear and see a bunch of trees cracking and falling to the ground under the weight of all the ice.

The dog surprisingly enough, doesn't seem to mind it at all.

That's probably the norm for you guys up and over there but we had 2 stretches of that and your right, when your not used to it it is hard to take a breath!

Hate winter but I hate Al Gore even more, he told everyone and anyone about global warming, what do I do with all the shorts and tank tops I have now, LOL!

My brother is in Pierre pont manor near Watertown and says they consider 18" of snow just flurries. He's in the path of prevailing winds coming off of lake Ontario though. 18" of snow turns my life upside down... Good luck with that 30" and no salt for the roads.

LOL yes!

But some house power would be nice.
Gonna have to make a fire tonight after work I think.

OH!!! That kind of power....

Speaking of that kind of power....I'm typing this from my phone because our power is out now too. I guess I'll have to run up to the shop, grab the kerosene heater for the house, back the mobile rig up to the house and run cords in from the generator.

Good luck and be safe Kitty.
