Side view mirror scratches!

There are scratches in my side view mirrors from what has to be improper technique. Any tips on doing it the correct way?

If they are painted like the rest of the vehicle a mini 3inch pad works wonders for small areas.

The scratches are on the actual mirror part. How do you go about washing the actual mirror part?

Yes. Caused from improper Technique

I tried buffing my mirror on my van....yea I can see through it now.

This is going to be a tough one. You may have to buy replacement glass for them.

Anyone have a special way they like to wash their mirrors to prevent scratches?

Go to a junkyard and get a replacement mirror; then go to a body shop and ask them for some assistance; shouldn't cost you more than $100 in total; and if you can replace the mirror yourself then should be even more $$$'s saved. They are not hard to replace at all.
