This is my friend Hink Hinkley's 1965 Mustang Fastback with a true candy raspberry paint job with gold metallic flake in the paint. The paint looks amazing but is in need of some light polishing to remove years of wax build-up as well as swirls and scratches.

After we polish the paint to perfection we're going to apply the GTechniq EXO if it's here by then, if not then we'll use C1 Crystal Lacquer.

Hink's 1965 Mustang Fastback in Candy Raspberry finish...

On Thursday, August 9th, starting at 6:00pm we will be performing a full detail to a 1965 Mustang Fastback.

We will also be broadcasting the process LIVE with the video feed starting at 6:00pm Eastern Time.

Paint looks good to the untrained eye, you have to know how to really inspect paint to understand its true condtion...



Before Shots
Look closely at the car, while it looks great we're going to remove all the fine swirls and put a true show car finish on this car and when I post the "After" shots compared to these you're going to see the gloss completely maxed out.

Saw it just haven't updated yet. Did so just now...

Hink is dropping his Mustang off on Wednesday so I'm going to knock out all the intricate buffing so all we'll have to do is the major panels.

Then clean the paint for application of EXO and then apply it, should be a lot of fun.


It will be great to have you and Trista here to help out...
