Simple DIY detailing advice?

I think the car looks awesome...especially for a self-admitted newbie. As far as a drying towel.....I just bought the Griots PFM drying towel. They're a little pricey, but they work as advertised and are worth every penny. They're available right here on Autogeek, and if you hurry, you will be able to take advantage of the 'Christmas in July' 20% off sale. Here's a link:

Thanks for the compliment! I saw that $40 price tag and almost spit my drink!

I did too...originally.....read reviews...just had to try one....no 'buyers remorse' here.....the thing is awesome

What size is that towel?
Nevermind, it's 25x35 dang.. That's steep. I can't imagine what it "could" do..

Another request: Can someone recommend a good nozzle for simple on/off water flow? I want to try just letting the water run down the car to get the soap off, but don't want to run to the faucet to turn it on and off. Everything I've seen so far pressurizes the water.

Single Brass Connector Shut Off Valve - One of those will do what you want. I use one with quick connect fittings and a multi-pattern trigger nozzle. The Shower setting works well for me when flushing soapy water off a car. I use the brass valve to reduce the pressure to get a better sheeting action from the Shower. If you decide to just use a valve on the end of a hose, you may want to buy a plastic one, as it would do less damage if it contacted the paint.

The derro option is to fold the hose on itself with no trigger spray on the end.. that turns it off.. walk to the car, un fold the pipe and sheet the whole car, then fold it on itself, back to the tap and switch off... (obvioulsy this is for an outdoor tap.. as walking a dripping folded pipe indorrs isn't awesome..)..

No attachment at all givs the highest flow volume and lowest water velocity which is ideal for sheeting...
